no the last name has to be the same, but the first name can be anything as long as the initial matches the 1st letter of the name.

just to clarify, that's completely correct but please if your opponent made a mistake when creating the guy and the first letter doesn't match the first letter of the name shown on the roster, please don't quit, just let him know after the match, that's all. This won't be a reason to replay the match or whatever...

Exactly, that is pretty stupid reason to quit.

I hit a forehand slice like 2 out of every 10 forehands I get simply because I like changing it up and I actually do hit forehand slices in real life every now and then, especially on really high bouncing balls.

I guess part of making everybody happy is making people happy who don't even know what they want or why they want it. So I understand why you guys made that rule I just think it's weird.

I agree. It gives a problem with pre-pressing. When you pre-press a power slice you don't know if the ball is going to go to your FH or BH. So if your opponent hits to your BH your shot will be ok, but if your opponent hits to your FH your shot is cheesy...

But I also like to stress: The above is just a detail. I am hugely looking forward to the SIM tour. Thanks a lot for setting it up.
james ward uses it to approach the net if you watched queens the last two years you would have seen what i mean

Just want to clear up. FH slices are on a "cheese" basis. That doesn't mean you cannot hit the shot. It just means you cannot abuse it. You can not use it generate points over and over. For example serve-then power FH slice. Or when you caught up in mid court and all you do FH slice to get out. Or when you are standing still with plenty of time to pick the right shot, yet you still choose to use FH slice.

It is rather clear to most of us when the slice was cause by accident and when someone deliberately "milking" the shot to generate points. If this is not clear for someone during the match - then SIM may not be foe them ;)

Of course SV guys can actually use it to attack the net.

The idea is to "try" and replicate the real tennis. We are aware of the games limitations, so all we ask to to try.

about the players, im afraid i can't find a decent all arounder. maybe cause its new and im not used to it but i think there is no a good all arounder like Fed stats or atleast somewhere around it. i mean im not worried anymore for power or backhand low stats cause in sim tour, my opponent will have his problems with low stats too, which is great , but the problem is the entertaining part, if all your shots land in middle of the court or they are weak or your stamina finish in a few games, it wont be fun...but im gonna wait and play the sim to see how it goes exactly.

We have more players on the way, we will slowly add more. There will be a few more all arounders. If I know what exactly are you looking for (stat areas) we can see if this is feasible to integrate into a current roster. If you looking for a Feeder type, then look at Fortis. He is very close to him, with a little less power.

The idea is to have a balanced roster, the exact replica of Federer setup is not going to be exactly balanced, don't you agree? ;) The guy is just too good.

Exactly. we need Fed toned down. That said, I want to see an all rounder with more volley.

Im actually playing the WT with the Fortis guy and havent lost in 17 matches so i can safely say he is a pretty good AA.
