TS4 Cheese Statement (Fair Play at the ITST)

The drop shots and drop volleys thing is awful. From what I've seen this is the single worst aspect of TS4 as far as in-game is concerned. There are a ton of unrealistic shots but the level of ease that these can be pulled off coupled with their effectiveness ESPECIALLY if someone is playing some lame high reflex setup and hitting constant drop volleys makes them worse. It takes almost all of the fun out of those particular matches and really puts a huge stain on the experience.

Again most games has flaws similar to this, but it's the regularity at which I, time and TIME again see players of Top Spin exploiting these flaws that astonishes me. What's the answer?

Banning Drop shot Artist? No.

Telling members to please use said shots sparingly and in attempts to mirror real life context or said shot spammers shall be publicly beaten and/or have their XBox's thrown from windows of moving trains and/or jets? YES!

EDIT: Oh and the speed thing does suck ass too, but that's not so much cheesy as crappy formulas in the code.

I suppose one thing in future they could do with the coding or whatever is if you pull of a successful dropshot in a game, it becomes something like a order of magnitude greater to pull off again, in that specific game. or beomes less effective. Its still possible, just very hard, and if successful again, a 1/50 shot even with perfect timing. That way drop shots would be used a max 1-2 times per game, still a lot but more than enough and not CONSTANT.

i still think welch should be banned as a coach his setup is way over the top and people will say oh his power is 63 but it doesnt matter on hard courts and grass the ball still flies through with the setup.

i just played reconsillx and the last time i played him i beat him np this time with welch he becomes a great player im sorry he has improved but i dont buy it that hes a world beater its the setup i thought to myself here we go so i picked the same setup otherwise i would lose as its overpowered. well it was a pitiful match and long i eventually won but drop shotin his control shot tap all the way through the match, and yet he calls me a drop shot cheesy i didnt use it every point maybe once or twice a game or two if i had him at the bk of the court otherwise this would go on for 3 hours.

if anyone else had problems with this setup being overpowered i know ive said this before but its really getting out of hand now

imo on hard courts and grass it is the people im playing agaisnt use this setup and just use controll tap x every point and even if it aint on perfect htis the line cross court with ease its pretty unrealistic if you ask me

i no it wasnt perfect coz i used the same setup i hit it 2 late sometimes and it STILL hit the line with ease as the stokres are a joke usually if you want high strokes u have to sacrifice speed etc or vice versa but with this its like nadal 2.0 can get evg and even if the wrong positions can hit clean cross court winners with ease its not good to play.

the only reason i start using drew welch was because everyone is, so i used it too level up the playing field and you did the same when you saw my character before the game you went out and change your character to the samething and you used drop shots all the time when you realise i was gonna win so i have no idea what your trying to say and saying i used control tap shots all the time ummm what else do you want me to use i only have 60 something power, there are only three type of shots controls shots, normal shots, and power shots so tell me what are you trying to say, you realise you were gonna lost, i was up 5-2 in the third set and you just drop shot shotted your way out, am not one to complain but really a top 10 player has to resort to things like that just because they dont want to lose

so everyone is using it means you need to aswell i thought you play for fun not to win yet use this setup to try and get an avantage and im sorry usuing drop shots 1 or 2 tiems a game or two aint more cheesy than short cross shourts control tap every point that is just as bad with the overpowered strokes and speed. i came back in the 2nd set and barely used any drop shots in the 3rd i used them and was stil losing but i chanegd it up and had you at the back of the court countless times so therefore i used the drop shot to bring you in its logical when to play it.

umm so why did you have it too? and i never said i played for fun, i played competitive and for fun but am just only gonna play for fun now and am not gonna keep agueing with you i already stated my point so just end it here

i had to aswell to even the playing field as i said in the other thread the only setup that can beat this is the same one and i no you play competitive so do i but i dont want you to quit coz of this. its jsut a game in the end and i no it can be fustrating i lsot 3 straight tiems to the same setup while i was using 3 other coaches so i tought i would figth fire with fire i dont use this setup if someone else hasnt got it as imo tis overpowered

ok instead of quitting am just gonna take a lil break i used this setup for the same exact reason you did my last 3 - 4 loses have been to this setup, its the only coach i fine overpowered too, you know what i dont what am saying i love this game and world tour gives alot of trouble so itst only thing makes me keep going, i kind of over react i was just really frustrated apologise to alex your a great player because i know how you can play from our first match when you beated me just forget all of this drama and pretend it never happen

its kl man i no its annoying thats y i believe this coach shud be bannrf or restricted somehow as all i run into these days are welch players who are ranked like 100 yet they are beating top 20 players with ease and i no it can happen but for it to happen all the time is abit of a joke, threfore more and more people are using it. im glad your taking just a break didnt want to lsoe you

I don't think Drew Welch needs to be banned. I do, however think people that use him with the intention of drop shotting all day long are quite lame and THEY should be banned. As far as Welch if we had some sort of 90 or 85 max rule we could always say that only one wing can have that max and the other must be in the 70's tops. I think that would make matters a lot more fair in that respect.
