Is that possible to have some tournament which require the maximum rank of 20 to enter?? (just like the women's challenger)

I mean why, why, why why, would we create tournaments with maximum rank of 20? Please, do explain me, I NEED to hear the reasoning behind it.

Now the maximum rank women's Challenger is 20 (20+) , I just wonder whether some men's seris can like this.

i think you mean minimum 20+ andy. I never have got to play you yet in ITST andy. Only exhibition matches. Im pretty mad about that! All i get is berson in the second round of everything...

The reason for it is a sheer number of ranked players. Under 100 on WS over 230 on MS. We have to give ALL player a chance to participate at their level.

You going have to look up and read on your own about the Pros, Challengers and Futures of ATP. The system is not that complicate, but does require a good read.

This weeks tournaments are now open to all players!

Just a reminder to everyone, for the system to function correctly, players need to pick the highest level tourney they can enter. That is why we placed a cap on Pro tournaments, to allow high ranking players to join first.

There is a gap, players between 50-70 are able to join both, Pro and Challenger events. When we have two 250 events per week, we expect these players to join the one of them and not pick the Challenger event.

I have seen at least 2 players in this category joining the Challenger.

Ok but i have to admit that the perspective of playing a top20 guy in the first round is kindda frightening. I'll do that then.

What I've feared just happened

I have to play against Bagdad in my first round

How is the draw made ?
Many players with a lower rank are playing against equaly ranked player, between seeded ones.

It is really frustrating...

Anyway... I'm gonna do my best even if I know I'm gonna be crushed.

I think that if I continue to signup in the highest tournaments I can do, I'm gonna quickly fall in the ranking.

Is this intended or is it that I just don't have luck ?


Ps: I'm not really complaining, just wondering how all this works and If this kind of example are normal or if this is a side effect of the system.

We make our draws the same way the ATP does. The seeds are determined and put into allocated places in the draw.

After that, players are added randomly. So if you have a string of bad draws then that is just really bad luck. Also, there is no human interaction possible when creating the draw. Its all automated. So even if we hated someone we couldnt give them a worse draw.

By the way, I didn't mean that an admin was doing this in purpose.
I thought that the seeded players would have been given the best possible draw, meaning a lower ranked player than me. ^^
