Even if the host does not respond, something will be done. See my answer to the next post below:

It's not OK to use the glitch, whether it is intentional or not. But, that does not mean that one complaint is enough to prove someone is using the glitch. When we get complaints about players, we keep a record of it. Eventually, and usually not after very much time, if someone is truly cheating they will be caught.

With that match you are referring to, I take responsibility for some of the problem. It looked to me at first that your opponent was intentionally using the glitch, so I told you guys to replay it. After you replayed, you guys still disagreed on what happened: you said he was glitching, but what he described to me seemed like they could easily just be well hit, normal returns.

interesting deductions since he ADMITTED to getting the glitch. we just differ on how frequent it was.

He admitted to "getting a glitch" but he didn't not admit the "intent". Big difference. I am sure I have glitched people as well, but it would never occur to me to "move back and glitch on purpose".

Once again, rest assured, we will identify those players who are knowingly and with intent use glitches. To put this to an end Julius, you are the first to complain about your opponent. No one else did. So lets leave this at that.

no intent? maybe im overly cynical but this glitch has been in the gm since launch...weve been playing the gm for months. no intent is laughable. but i will leave it at that.

ive noticed these returns---but, is it possible you are pre-pressing the button to hit your 2nd shot and this is the reason why you are moving way behind the baseline?

I played a serve and volley player who glitch returned and then rushed the net, I don't know if I was prepressing or not, what I do know is the combo of s&v and glitch return is impossible to beat. I know how to do it and I believe it's very possible for someone to be glitch returning and not even know that they are doing it. However, everytime a glitch return happens it says "too late" on the swing timing indicator. I highly doubt that a top player would not know what was happing. Why would a good player not try to achieve "good" or "perfect" timed returns. By the way "perfect" returns look nothing like glitch returns, they look like a shanks that pops up . I pray that a patch fixes this, or this type of exploit may become more and more prevelent.

I took my first loss this season from that punk. I took the first set to a tiebreaker using slow powder puff serves to avoid his exploited returns but tried one hard seve when he had set point and blam, glitch return...set lost. I didn't know about till i read this post and then i accidently did it. It's a combination of prepressing the button and then tapping a button i think it's important for people to know when they are doing it so they can avoid it in the future. I pride my on my returning; once you know how to do it, it can easily be avoided.

I'm not trying to be controversial but there is no way that any player who uses this exploit on a regular basis can be described as anything but cheap. The glitch return belong in the same cheesy bag of trick as the tramline servers who continually throw up slow powder puff serves out wide. I'm not defending or condemning anyone, but, I would know it if I saw it that's for sure.

I agree. It is right up there with the other cheesy tatics. Theres no way you can take advantage of your serve games when someone does this. I used to accidently do it here in there I think but I dont know how to. I haven't done it in forever. Its very annoying though.

Real tennis is just a on big glitch. Look at Djokovic! That guy glitched the whole ATP dammit! ...glitch return, no skills glitch, monster defense skill .... His coach needs to be banned and he needs to be balanced, now. ATP is just not as competent in addressing these issues as ITST is, shame. 8)
