Been visiting the forums for several weeks, but only just registered.

The AAC thread is sadly a quiet place it seems. Have you all defected to S&V and OBC? :D

My first created player ended up as a 9/5/6 with Mathew Grody. Only concern is BH 51 compared to FH 81. I gave all the bonus groundstroke pts to FH!
I used to think I was indecisive... but now I'm not so sure.

Are you on PS3?

My aim is to try and sprinkle in S&V maybe 50% of the time, but my only experience is against the CPU for now.

I'm on a Mac so can't use the Player/Coach calculator - instead I've had to spend several hours Fast Building different versions :stupd

I'm thinking of making a new all-rounder, with Alex Bickham. On the +ve side the BH will be higher but main concern is the lack of power, so it will probably be hard to win points from the baseline.

Hmmmm

The best bet is to use a 6/8/6 split with Matthew Grody. Great amount of power, and volleys are strong. The only problem is that your backhand will stay at 62, so choose your shots wisely. Serve and Volleying is easy with this set up as well.

I use 6/7/7 with Alex Bickham. Good all round player but does lack a bit of power, although I did put all the points on the forehand side so I can hit inside out winners. The tour is full of OB players, but I like the all round game i.e. Roger Federer :D

is the 65 speed fast enough to track down lobs because i played a match with Alex bickham but its 8/6/6 with 64 speed against an Agassi but when i try to track down lobs my player couldn't he moved slowly struggling to reach them.

the hardest thing to do with this setup is play guys with IR/CPS or with smell of blood/ drop shot artist. those guys have really no weakness to attack.

The one setup I struggle with a lot is anyone who has Drew Welch. I think thats his name. his speed along with the ability to out hit my guy from the back as well as drop shot makes it very difficult to hit winners. Also, the rallies get ridiculously long when playing against them, on average are about 30 strokes, on grass!

I haven't had to track many lobs when playing so can't really comment, I have hit a running through the legs passing shot winner though :P. Only managed it once but was awesome :). The main weakness of my guy with 6//7/7 is the lack of power, everything else is good. The reflex stat of something like 70 does well in enabling me to counter shots back and react quick at the net.

I know this is not alloweed in ITST, but I tried a 4/8/8 split with quah, and it actually is not bd for all rounders.

Anyone run into people using IR/CPS?

I had a couple of matches against a fellow PS3er, and found it really tough going. The IR mad it hard to cope with the opponent from the baseline, especially since the player already had power in the 80s.

If I decided to attack the net, the CPS gave me problems. :D
