Timing problem

Postby Darth_Luisito » Sun, 03 Jul 2011 02:28

Hi all, (sorry for my english),

I have a big problem....

Today I have bought myself a new television led (LG6500Lx), now ts4 is visualized incredible. But, I always shoot late the ball. When I shoot the ball my timing is "very late", It doesn't care if I shoot before it bounces or later, Always late. Moreover, I can't serve always the ball goes to the net.

I think that I receive the image late to the television. Has some had this same problem?

Thanks

I'm guessing your new TV is an LCD. They have, imo, too much delay for gaming. Play on a CRT or plasma.

Are you connected by hdmi?

My timing was off when I got a lcd hd tv and connecting by hdmi cable fixed it.
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

No, I don't conect by hdmi, I'm changing my timing shoot in the serve. I think this was the best solution to my problem. Thanks

Yeah I had that problem too. I changed from a 20'' tv to a 52'' tv when I moved back home. It completely destroys your timing. Balls travel at a way slower speed and it takes a lot of work to adjust because you just become so used to the old speed. My advice is to just not change tvs when you get used to one. :P

This completely ruined my TS3 game.

I had TS3 for a few months, had the timing for the risk shots DOWN and hardly ever missed, then I got my new HDTV and found I could hardly get the ball over the net. I didn't play TS3 at ITST, but from that point on my skills were just nowhere near the same. I never said anything either, because I thought people would think I was just making it up :)

You'd be surprised how much changing tvs can impact your game. I wouldn't have believed it myself until it happened to me.

It's probably akin to changing rackets for professionals. Changing to a similar one takes a little bit of getting used to but shouldn't change your game too much for too long. But a bigger change can take ages, months even, to get the hang of. Look what happened to Djokovic when he had that racket change. I don't think he ever got used to it and had to change back.
