This could be something difficult to ban, especially without explaining how it's done (which probably would not be a good idea).

But, if you encounter someone in an ITST match who uses it, please do inform the host. Taking advantage of glitches is not allowed.

BTW: This thread has mostly turned in to a shouting match, regardless of what the original intentions were. Please try to keep discussions a little more civil, or this thread will be locked.

i reported. they admitted they use it in this thread. so..whats the outcome? shame on them for using a glitch but nothing is done about it? its super obvious if someone is using it. would be pretty easy to ban imo.

What is this... You have 100 power.. i stand further behind the baseline then normal cause youll ace me if i dont.. and im just returning how can u ban people for that.. Is it banned to return with topspin? No cause with slice or flat youll be done for the next hit.. It just doesnt make sense.. Sometimes a return glitches.. so? If u serve good it doesnt and even if u dont serve good it doesnt alot.. Its not like every return was a glitch..

ban the shot, not the player.

it doesnt happen by accident. it was obvious u were trying to do it every return.

How do we report someone for doing it if we don't know what it is? Is it the return where it hits the court pretty deep and then bounces way up in the air and forces your player to backpedal way behind the baseline to hit it back?

hmmm...i am really curious about this. there's a button combo that let you return deep everytime? i've have played some players that pretty much returned like that at will even if my serves hit the line. i just thought the guy just have good timing on my serves everytime, maybe they do, who knows. well if it is really a glitch in the game then i am sure 2k will have a patch for it soon (the admins here probably already notified 2k).

Well I think such tactics and glitches should be exposed so that everyone knows what is allowed and what is not allowed... There maybe few of us who might be using glitches without knowing it and there may be few who have encountered such players who use such glitches without knowing that his opponent was using it... Point is that there may be a section on the home page about it so that all of the players know what is allowed and what is not allowed ... I ve send pm to some of the hosts about it but sorry to say that they didnt give it a damn and never reply to my private messages

I didn't know about this until i read this thread.

If there is a glitch and it's being used then it's an exploit, I dont even get why people would defend it? It's pretty much the definition of exploiting to use bugs in the game to your advantage.

It's obviously bad sportsmanship aswell to be using things like that.

So basically it's just lame, I don't care how you defend it.

Ok guyes for as far as i know.. It happens sometimes when u stand one step back from wwhere u stand when the game starts and return with topspin, good/perf timing and position good for the ball.. And this is what i dont get about it.. Should i not try to hit a proper return then? Should i on purpose get weak timing? I never changed my way of returning and all of a sudden its a glitch... I say, accept this untill there is an update cause its not always the intention of the player to use glitch.. Its just to hit a proper return..

I guess I will train to hit weak return

"Glitching" is the practice of a player exploiting faults in a video game's programming to achieve tasks normally impossible if the game's script runs as intended, such as running through walls or defying the game's laws of gravity

So for you hit Long return is a glitch ?

People earlier stated that it's some sort of a button combo you hit to get some insane return, which obviously is as you said; "practice of a player exploiting faults in a video game's programming"

A perfect topspin return however is ofc nothing to argue about.

Probably.. The thing that also doesnt add up to julius story of me using glitch all the time.. Is that he used, from the start, slowe serves, so ofcourse my returns were deep in the court.... Now we have to play the match again because of that xD its just lame.. Deal with it untill the update..
