and sorry your ranking have nothing to do with this .esspecially when its just a WT ranking .

a tip:search for the fault by yourself. you simple not figured out yet a good answer for this .

maybe practice with a friend and let him play this kind of volley to find a counter
yea for those saying drop volleys are cheesy are wrong the peeps hitting the droppers are doing it to keep the ball away from u as even with 40 speed players can chase down too many deep volleys but hitting perfect low volleys nd drop volleys. short counters this and only guys with solid to high speed can't get to them it's not cheesy it's simply a counter tatic to 40 stat speedsters

S&V was too easy to beat before. Returning was too easy, and even when the s&ver got the first volley back, the baseliner could hit whatever shot at whatever angle they wanted all the time.
It was hard enough to s&v effectively with a s&ver. Characters with not so high volley/reflex stat dare not rush to net. My all rounder didn't stand a chance at net, even when I put myself in a good position for a putaway volley.
Now you actually have to think when returning, like it should have been, and you can't make an automatic pass anymore like you could when someone's at net. This is a good thing.

SporTec Ironik wrote:I'm not sure about that but I have the feeling that doing a short crossed top spin is easier when you hit a slice.

Anyway I agree that sliced returns are a real plague when executed well.
I only do that against great server or wide sliced serves.

But I think that doing some S&V against player who are always doing sliced return will work quite well. I have to test that ^^

I do s&v against them, but I was using my all rounder when I faced them. 53vol 66rf. Their slice returns were hard to putaway with those volley stats. If I were using my s&ver I would have beaten them easily. The problem is slicing in general, especially on the return, is too safe and easy to abuse.

I personally would like slicing to be harder to use, like lobs, so people keep slice spamming to a minimum.

slicing is easy ur right but look at fed when he lost to berdych he made 90% of returns at Wimbledon by chipping his backhand slicing the return is a percentage play but it does need toning down and top spin 5 slice should be a seperate stat to avoid this abuse so peeps who want good slice. Halave to invest in the shot which most chessers won't

Lets go to his serve now. He has diesel server/low volley and he makes super serves all the time. If you answer he is already at the net. After the patch its impossible to make perfect return and the player at the net is almost unbeatable! When i return he makes the volley or drop shot and takes the point. I tried everything. I am number 6 in world tour and not some random guy...And he makes volley or drop in every foocking point!!!!

Thats cheating people. I sent him messages of cheating and he says bs that sampras etc played like this...I say BS! He is exploiting the game after the patch and he knows it...

Of course he is No1 in this week on world tour...

I use slices my opponents says its cheasy...

I use drop shots and my opponent says its cheasy (retos for example)

I use deep hits on the baseline and my opponent says its cheasy...

I use lobs and they say its cheasy...

I AM SICK ALL OF THESE...

How can we play in the end?

I am tired...

What do you say about that?

Oh ... what ?

I'm a serve volleyer anyway and it suits me fine you should make a player with reflexes and speed and return skill again if you didn't read my earlier post the low volley and drop volley are use to counter 40 speed players cs if you hia low or drop volley perfect it is a short volley that very difficult if not impossible for 40 speed player and speedsters 70 speed and above for chasing them down cos if they hit the volley deep 40 speed player are able to chase most deep volleys down which they shouldn't be able to .it is not chessy simply a tactic that if you know is coming if your playerhas good speed you should read and be able to counter it

Counter S&V players by returning serve with a short slice in front of him.

He will be obligated to return it with a weak shot if he rushed to the net, if he didn't rush to the net - then you are in a bit of trouble but not all is lost.

The point is - mix it up to make him feel uncertain if he wants to rush or not.

Stop whining. If you have valid criticism of the game, fair enough, but don't complain about volley players just because you can't beat them. There are far bigger flaws in this game right now (overpowered slice, still not enough errors IMO, stamina and speed not mattering enough) that this shouldn't even be a complaint IMO.

I think power is the most overbearing thing now. Tried a few games with my customs and for some reason I can't hit winners to open court on full power flat shots :(

Yep, power flat shots just don't land anywhere near the line. They land almost in the middle of the court so your opponent can get to them. You almost have to hit a control flat shot or power topspin shot just to keep it away.
