I am so hungover. Someone just shoot me and put me out of my misery  I'll tell you what though, what an emotional rollercoaster that was... just got the £45,000 wired to me on my account. I am far too hungover to appreciate this moment, but would I put 40k on Nadal in straight? Odds are 4/1.. meaning £160,000. Problem is I'm seriously considering it, someone stop me before I'm way over my head :D

The last game between Fed & Nadal on clay, was really tight, Fed dominated Nadal, but lost in 3 sets (@Rome or Madrid, i don't remember).

Even xavi not so blind to put 40 on rafa for straights haha.

Guys being pretty harsh on novak. He just ran into an on song fed, which we know is very hard to stop. Also his backhand downline wasn't firing/non existent which limited him greatly.

Also at him not working hard, that so bs, his new diet is an example of work willing to put in. He will prob win US open.

Congrats, but don't push your luck ;)

Oh, and don't come to me claiming 120.000 if Rafa does win in straights.

I heard the dutch commentator say something along the lines of the fifth match not being played anymore if there had been one. I was not paying attention though so could have been about something else. Could someone confirm this for me?

If its true it would be a disgrace for the organisation. Why did they begin the matches so late?

I do remember Dutch commentator saying the organisation would surely be hoping for Fed to take it in 4. Surely they couldn't have played a 5th set anymore. They should have, but they couldn't. Too dark out there for a 5th.

I do wonder when they would've played it today. They can't move it to another court, but surely they can't let it be played before the women's final, can't take the risk of that being delayed. Then there's men's doubles afterwards. Would've been quite late before it could start again, giving quite some advantage to Nadal tomorrow.

Poor organisation indeed. Should've started at 11 or 12am.

What if Nadal-Murray had gone to length? Federer and Djokovic may only have been able to play two sets or so...

Yeah if Djokovic had taken it to a 5th set they would have had to play it out the next day because there's not enough light to finish it. I don't understand it either. You have two tough men's semi-finals back to back, 5 set clay court matches, you should expect them each to be 3 hours minimum. Starting at 2pm, you barely even have time to fit them both in at 3 hours each! It's not that much of a stretch to think one might extend to 4 hours and mess up the schedule...

According to some media, Djokovic will be Nr. 1 if Nadal lose the final.

Is this true?
If yes Rafa will have more pressure.

I guess it's because audience ratings and money, in my opinion not finishing the final on sunday would be a disaster

Nadal

"The last 7 years i've been in 6 finals and i've won 5. Results are almost unbeatable. So many victories might distort the reality and don't let us appreciate what i've been through the last years"

Nadal has beaten Roger 15 out of 13 matches on clay:

"I don't think about that, and i don't want to. His serve is spectacular, he pushes you, he goes to the net, he can hit winners from everywhere, he's also moving really well...i need to make him feel he can not hit the ball comfortably"

It's alway an honor playing against him, very good season for him so far. He's always there, playing finals, semis. It's impossible to be at your highest level every week. What Roger has done in his career is impossible to repeat for the rest of players

The best match between them was in Wimbledon 2008, and he compares it with the SF between Federer and Djokovic.

"Wimbledon final turned it to be a dramatic match, the rain, the darkness at the end of the match..."tennistically" speaking the match between Federer an Djokovic was a super match, but you can't compare it to that final in my opinion"

It could rain during the final

"I don't have the power to control the weather, if it rains i will think it's an advantage for me, if it's a sunny day i will also think it's an advantage for me, always positive thinking"

I think the players and the fans are starting to appreciate Fed won't be around for ever, and the game will be collossally worse off for it. Obviously he can still beat players like djokovic etc at the moment, but we have already seen they are a surprise and not the norm. And he's only 29! but i don't think he will do a Agassi and carry on to 35+, i dont know maybe if he is still competitive. But I think he is more likely to retire around 32. In any case Fed is past the halfway point of his career, and it will be a very sad day when he retires for us fans, but also the players. I remember Agassi saying before it was a strange time on the tour after Sampras retired, as this one guy who's always been there since juniors and had so many battles with suddenly wasn't there any more, and it took a bit of an edge away.
I know nadal and fed are not exactly contemporaries, Fed's are Eoddick and Hewitt, who lets face it aren't in the same league, but Nadal will be rememebred as his career rival and think he might feel the same as Agaddi.
