rules suggestion

Postby lukkystef » Thu, 19 May 2011 11:38

Hi all!!!

I just sign up for test tournament rules 2, and was testing new skills, and i have a suggestion for " a complement rule"

here is my example:

my player is : 2 SV, 7 OB, 11DB
COACH is JAN CHALUPA , who gives : top spin invasion and longer better.

my stats with this coach are :
FH 72 , BH 74, SRV 67, VOL 45, PW 67, ST 88, SP 68, REF 54

I think this player isn't overpowered at all, but it s not good with rules because both stroke are more than 69.

So my suggestion is:

One stroke must be 69 or less (Forehand or Backhand) or two stroke must be 75 or less.

Tell me guys what do u think about that!
Thanks

Then put 5 points extra into forehand instead of backhand. Then you would have 77 forehand and 69 backhand. I think the whole point of the rules is to have a weaker side so there is always something that players can tactically exploit in a match. Besides, that isn't so much of a difference from what you have now anyway so it wouldn't ruin what you're trying to do with your character.

I'm using this coach for one of my players, the one I use for WT, and I don't feel like it's over powered. Maybe it's because I'm not that good. :P
But I have wondered if longer better and the high stamina my player already have make the skill somewhat useless..?
Ignorance is bliss

Yes you are right tiger!!!
i m just testing!!
1st thing is that it s a created player(monfils), i like him, and i would to play with it!!!dont want to create another one!!!i m just changing coach....

2nd thing, is that even if he has no weakness, he doesn t have really one good stat...
it could be a nice opposition against other players who have for example a big forehand and a poor backhand but better power or/and speed..it will give more variety of players...

in half an hour or less you'll have another "Monfils" with a correct setup.

But there isn't a large difference between 77 and 69 anyway so the two wings are basically pretty even. Very few professionals have exactly even wings anyway. Even if they are both solid, usually one is slightly more reliable than the other. A lot of power players go for a huge forehand and sacrifice backhand and this usually is a 15+ difference so one side, usually backhand, is weaker.
