Newbie from Germany (and also a noob)

Postby Alpenmonster » Thu, 19 May 2011 07:26

Hi there,

just wanted to introduce myself. Yesterday I accidentally came across this website and thought: Well, that sounds good and interesting...give it a try....so here I am. :-)
Only Problem is that I really suck at this game at the moment. Had my first 3 online matches yesterday and was completly destroyed...so before I will sign up for tournaments I think I will have to practice a lot.. So if some wants to enjoy a comfortable win feel free to add me :-)....

I look forward to some matches with you guys....

Hi, welcome to ITST....I think if you're worried about getting 'destroyed' as you say, you should spend some time playing the computer at Very Hard or Expert.

If you start winning most of the time I'd say you could beat a lot of human players no problem

Hey Alpenmonster,

Yeah ITST is a great topspin gaming website that's for sure. With regards to your level, don't worry too much about that - there are tons of members with different levels of ability.

If you want a smooth transition into the tour I recommend you look out for and enter either challengers or more specifically future events (ranking 100+) - this is a good place to get some match practice without necessarily being smashed off the court :)

@ all:
Thanks for the warm welcome and advice...I ll try to sign up for some futures as you mentioned Slice to get a better grip on that game...by the way: my character is on level 11...does it make sense to sign up for a future?

@RainingAmoeba79:
I am playing on Xbox 360 and Gamertag is Alpenmonster...
Are you on Xbox 360?

You will need a fully trained char to compete really. Even in futures. What you could do is quickly finish a career on very easy and super tiebreak. 2 hours later you have a fully trained char and can create an unlimited amount instantly. You can then finish the perhaps longer career you are in now at your own pace.
