So i signed up for it and got a bye the first round. This was a week before the blackout. I assume this tournament has been cancelled now?
Should i sign up for a new one?
Also if anyone want a match i'm ql1photh on PSN. I'm kinda new to this but would love to play some matches.

You may play any tournament you like, so long as you qualify for it (which will be the case for most tournaments). That tournament was just an option for newer players if they wanted some matches against other newer players instead of getting matched up with a veteran and having a bad experience.
You might consider signing up for a challenger or future level tournament, since the level there will be slightly lower. Unless of course you feel like you are up to the challenge and want to take on the big guns.
As far as the old tournament, it will continue and new deadline dates will be given soon.
