Are you saying that since he couldnt hit the down the line backhand, he hit a moonball back to middle of the court? Is this what you are talking about Al?

well he tried to hit deeper moon balls to Nole's BH, but that shot is not easy and it always was too short which made it very easy to attack.

indeed.

Xavi, is there a way we can contact uncle Tony and have him concentrate on that BH down the line more? ...flatten it out more?

it would be great but it cant happen, if djokovic reaches rg final he will be number one, even if nadal wins rg again. because nole defends 360 points and the final gives 1200, and the difference with nadal is only 400 points.

dont know if it is just me, but about 4-5 years ago Rafa had a better backhand than he does now...partly because he has concentrated so much on the forehand and has not had to worry about it that much. Rafa is getting a taste of his own medicine---how does it feel to have your backhand attacked over and over again like you did to Federer---HOW DOES IT FEEL RAFA? and i must say moon balls are cheap

basically what i got out of it was that Rafa could not find a way to beat him, so he starts throwing him a bunch of junk---as a player i would find that insulting to have moon balls thrown at me through the match

I still fail to understand why? ...moon-balls are free points. You mean you would be insulted because someone gives you free points?

actually he was trying to find a way to beat him, those balls should be deeper, but he didn't execute those shots well, and the shots were too short, that's all, of course it's always better to crush your opponent with powerful and beautiful FHs BHs but sometimes your opponent is better and you look for different solutions.

well, i know for a fact guys unless you are a professional or someone who plays a tremendous amount of tennis---most likely you are not crushing moons balls out of the court--if that was rafa's way of trying to beat him, then fine--I just found it to be a bunch of garbage coming from Nadal's raquet--last resort type of stuff if you will

obviously the only way to beat djokovic right now, is to cut off his big toe--this should throw off his balance a bit

Murray was really close, i don't think Nole was better than him in the SF, just played 2-3 points better, gladly surprised with Andy's performance , he should play well in Paris
