What Camera Angle do You Use?

Postby santoro86 » Wed, 27 Apr 2011 06:12

I prefer the Zoom Far camera (ground level directly behind the baseline) but I've noticed that on a lot of the venues the background really drowns out the ball and makes the path of it hard to follow. Anyone else notice this issue?

I use TV Far. Best view to see what's going on, so easier to judge shots, positioning etc.

Is it possible to edit this post to make it a poll?

I use TV close but on previous iterations of TS i've always used zoom. I'm considering going back to it - it makes the game a hell of a lot more intense and imersive.

I tried using Zoom far as well and noticed that same thing. I just couldn't see the ball due to it blending with the background. I've switched to TV far. I agree it allows me to see more court and judge the timing better.

I use TV Close. I used to play Zoom Far in TS2 and TS3, but noticed, it's not so easy to judge the ball, especially when playing against another person.
Seems I can't cross that threshold just yet :(

Absolutely! In fact, i've even lost points because of it, it's horrible no matter what camera angle you use.

I use TV as well. In Top Spin 2 I used close, but when I tried close in Top Spin 3 it wasn't the same, so I switched to TV. But in now in Top Spin 4 I sometimes lose sight of the ball with the TV angle, but only when when my opponent tosses the ball in the air on certain venues. Sometimes the ball blends into the background and I lose track of it, pisses me off, lol. There are a few venues this happens to me on, Rolland Garros is one.

I am having major trouble with the camera angles too!! As you said, the ball seems to "blend" into the background and as a result I am always seeing it late, losing the flight of the ball and thus end up losing points because of it. Or also if someone plays a lob when you are using the tv close angle, it is disorientating as the ball goes out of view for a while and so you end up losing track of where it is going to land as you can't see it.

Adjusting your TV's brightness/contrast may help.
