I agree I don't think 30 is all that old, even for tennis. Especially for somebody as truly great as Roger. People like him tend to break a lot of those types of rules...

It's obvious he's far from playing at 100% of his abilities (not saying he's injured I'm just saying he's not giving 100% effort), I don't think he's actually LOST any ability whatsoever, be it movement or his forehand or backhand, or whatever.

However I do agree with Chederer when he said that he doesn't slice his BH enough now...I remember the criticism used to be that he sliced the BH too much but he's tried coming over it and it doesn't work, he needs to go back to slicing every other BH.

I think he somewhat got out of the habit of slicing his backhand as it used to work well against everyone except Nadal, and he got a bit too focused on how to adapt to beat Rafa on clay.

He may be clearly behind Nadal and Novak now but he is still their biggest threat at a major and would still be my pick ahead of Murray, Soderling, Berdych etc.

He's only behind Djokovic because Djokovic is having a freak year at the moment. I mean, 'more power to him' (Djokovic), I'm not saying it's luck or something, but he's doing something that only a handful of players have done, so I think it's natural that Federer might be trailing him right now...Him being behind Nadal is not really all that new.

I think he just needs to play with a bigger racket , I did the transition to a 95 from the 90 and it improved my game big time .

He is playing with the smaller racket of the tour

Ferrer is playing great now. Just got the break back to get back into the match, leads 5-4 now, Nadal to serve.

i was more interested in the Nadal Murray match....I didnt even waste my time watching Nadal and Ferrer...all ready knew who the winner was going to be....i am still a Murray fan...how about him actually stepping around to hit forehands---it was kinda weird to watch that from him, but it worked most times it went in

I hope Novak can challenge Nadal on clay otherwise it's going to be a pretty dull season on the red stuff again.
