Man wtf is going on with Federer.

I agree Melzer played awesome today but aside from that, Federer lately has just seems so bored...he's PREDICTABLE now, where when he was in his 'prime' he was totally unpredictable.

yea jay it was tough to watch federer's performance today, but it was the first tournament on clay and melzer wasnt playing that bad.

Hopefulle he can recover and do better in the next tournament, but a straight set loss to melzer is not good for fed.

and another thing to point out about this match is melzer served at 50% for the match and fed at 68%, but fed couldnt do anything with second serves.

Also fed was 0-7 verse breakpoints, didnt play the big points well, not a good sign either.

Big call here but is Frederico Gil a slightly darker-haired spitting image of Filippo Volandri?

Hm, I guess if you'd try to create Gil in ts4 you'd end up with a Volandri and vice versa, but I can see only minor similarities.

dude.....fed is almost 30 broskie...he has played almost 1000 ATP matches...what it looks like to me is his movement is really starting to take a dip and also that backhand he needs to just go back to the bread and butter slices...when he slices the backhand it leaves him so many options, but at the same time it extends the point which for old man Fed is no bueno....hes trying to end the points quicker with hitting through the backhand, but thats just not his game...the only thing we will see from Fed in the future is sporadic moments of greatness and moments of complete let downs...he is nowhere near nadal or djokovic anymore

Go, murray taking it to rafa, I like it.

Still want rafa to win but this would really spice things up if murray could win.
He will prob get broken now and lose set since said that lol.

I like how coming to net and unleashing on some forehands, one in particular to save bp was awesome.

Murray is playing very well on clay with his typical flat cross court BH and a modified FH with more spin, perfect for the clay season

2 breaks up second set for murray  - everyone was saying he wouldnt be good on clay (as most british players are so bad on that surface lol) this is some of the best stuff I've seen in a while from murray.

Fed is not old for the love of god , he lost to somone his age , lots of pros retire around 35 , he is still very much at his prime .

To me when I went to see him at the erickson is that ... he seems bored , he doesn't have the fire anymore , he goes out there almost because people want him to , he is just not willing to put the work to win anything but maybe a grandslam ,anything else is tidious for him now .

I saw his face when he was warming up , he seemed bored , like a person going to the office on a monday morning .
