What's the Fastest way to make a Custom

Postby KDZaster » Tue, 05 Apr 2011 16:37

Hey, being that I don't have a staggering amount of free time, I'm hoping you guys can help me.

What's the fastest way to make a custom get to level 20?
Like, how many matches would it take?

Because I'm entered in a few of the events on this site, and haven't had time to create a character.
I saw the calculator, but it cant give me a feel for how long it'll take.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Could we just copy the topspin data that's save on the xbox/ps3 and use a flash drive to transfer the data over to another console?

Hmmmm.....good question! Technically, sure - on the 360, a 'blank' no-career-data level 20 char only occupies about 3meg.....could actually be emailed.....one immediate issue I'd foresee would be that if, for example I did this for you, the 'blank' would already have the serve-animations set.....you could specify all that in advance I suppose!?

It may....may also be the case that the data is bound up with the individual 360 profile....but perhaps not.....

hmmmm......can pm me with specific char design (just build and animation/behaviour, char name/bio) if like, along with email addy - will take me 5 mins to create a level 20 and mail to you - you could then stick it on USB data stick and try it....?

Can't see any contravention of rules here (hosts?) but may not work - happy to try it for you out of curiosity.....!

I never tested it, but if the data isn't linked to the profile, it should work. It'd be pretty awesome too, for sharing CAP's.

I can't play TS4 atm; my disc is scratched.

I emailed 2K support to see if they have any exchange program, but I haven't heard back from them.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! bring it back to the shop perhaps - maybe you got given it as a present, and the first time you booted it up, there was a scratch that prevented you ever playing it?

Tooth paste. It worked my one and only TS3 disc about 2 years ago. Still works! :P

I tried toothpaste, but no help. My 360 got bumped while it was on, and the disc got scratched pretty badly.

It kind of pisses me off. I have a 20 year old Sony Discman that I can jog, do somersaults with, toss in the air like a raw pizza dough - and it never skips a beat. But a state-of-the-art game console can barely take a small nudge without the disc coming out of place.

I'm not going to try to return it. It was my fault, so I'll just wait and see if 2K will do some kind of exchange.

hmmmm.....as your (jail-house) lawyer, i'd potentially take issue with your definition of 'fault' in this case man....sure, bumping the console was your fault perhaps....but it could easily be construed as an xbox360 fault that such a bump leads to irreparable damage of an inserted disc....which would put the fault at the door of Microsoft....who, at worst disavow such a design flaw, and at best are quite ambiguous/non-committal about this (i've checked).

just my thruppence....but the fault here is not all yours man, in my opinion - and if you accept that, and accept that action from MS is unlikely, perhaps...perhaps, 'fighting a battle that may be won' (i.e. approaching the vendor) is an appropriate course of action.....perhaps
