Volkl Power Bridge 10 Mid

Image

The last month or so, I decided to demo all the new rackets that are on the market (I do it every year). Last your thou, I skipped on the Volkls. But this time, after reading a few good things, I decided to try one.

Well, I kinda feel stupid for never giving this brand a chance.

PB10MID is THE best racket I swung ever. And by a good margin.

Granted, this racket is not for everyone, but if you like headlight mids and mid pluses - this is a must demo!

I feel I've been missing out the last year or so. Effortless power, razer like control, great spin from 16x19 pattern in the 93 head. The most stable headlight I have tried in a while.

A players dream racket! My new toy!

You must be kidding me, hahaha i think the same way about the racquet and i've demoing it fro the last week.
I'm gonna try to demo the new line though, the Organix PB10 325 gr, to see the differences.

That is the SIM players racquet :D :D

COOL! :c

BTW - I will do the same with the new organix, but from what I read, it offers a bit less vibration into the hand, hence less feedback. And a larger head. Less plow thru.

But man! This racket is a must buy!

Unless the knew one is better, this will be my racket now. 8)

Thanks man, i'd like to get the new one if it's similar to the PB10 Mid, i know the old one is 93sq and the new one is Mid Plus( 98sq) but anyway it could be interesting, and yeah i was planning demoing the Organix but i'll wait to see your impressions, hard to find Volkls in Mallorca hehe, so i usually demo racquets from TW but it always takes 4 days to arrive..well a bit chaotic

I order my Demos from them too. Just placed an order and it says should ship today.

The specs make it a totally different animal. But it could be good as well.

I will buy at least one PB10 for sure. Got to have it.

OK, just received both Organix 10 (325) and Organix 10 (295). :P

Will let you know Xavi how they feel. The 295 version could be good if you want to customize it a bit.

cool Al....I was thinking about getting a Volkl before I got my Dunlop, they're really nice racquets I just liked the Dunlop more. I also demoed a Boris Becker racquet, again a really nice racquet and I think it's actually owned by Volkl.

I want to demo one of the new '4D' Dunlops...the specs look exactly the same so I'm guessing it's basically the exact same racquet as the Aerogel 200 with a new paint job :?

Jay, I went thru all the Dunlops Biomoimetic this year. (I usually demo everything under the sun) But only started demo the brand this year. SO I dont have experience with the prior frames.

200 Lite is the best out of the batch. By a good margin. If you looking for a lighter frame - 600 is a VERY nice frame. I absolutely hated the 200 and 200+ it felt so freaking immobile. They feel heavy but really uncomfortable rather then solid.

The 300 looked awesome, played sub-par.

500 is too light for me, maybe with some weight it will work well.

So the 200 Lite (don't be fooled by lite, its not) is the best out of the batch for me.

This is a very personal thing thou. I mean my swings are full and fast, I need headlight rackets. Of course you can customize any frame etc. But I still look for 8-10 points headlight stock rackets.

I heard a lot of good about the Aerogels, not sure if the new frames are paint jobs...need to look it up.

Just don't be fooled into thing the "Biomemetics" is anything special. I mean, c'mon, it's supposed to be aerodynamic because it's like a shark skin........

Not saying they aren't good racquets, because they are, but I just get a little sick of all the BS marketing crap.

@ Jay. Be careful which 200 you try. Yours has an 18x20 string pattern, and one of the new models is 16x18 (or 16x19?). They still make it in an 18x20, just make sure you know which one you're getting. Of course, you may actually like the 16x18 better - it should be a little softer feeling, and maybe a little more spin. The biggest drawback might be control on flat shots.

They also have the "Gecko" grip, which supposedly has microscopic pores modeled after gecko's feet. And then there's the "Silk"string, modeled after a spider's web.

Again, good grip and string; ridiculous marketing.

talking about grips, Volkls have a very special grip, they're more rectangular than the rest of brand grips, quite similar to Head's, love it or hate it i guess, i'm used to Heads, so no problem.
