after playing more and more i must say the power in TS4 is very powerfull .

i think too a reducing from power will open much more aspects of the game .

mean i like to play with power too ,but i can understand that people will reduce power .

i think maybe the problem are the coaches . they make player too strong maybe a good thing is to bann some coaches where give to much XP and who make player too strong .

A bit mind-boggling that we're dealing with (possible) power issues after the power-fest that was TS3. :|

Honestly, this time around it is worse. Why? ...easier access to power, no outs, easier serve, no risk (to counteract).

So, no surprise really.

Don't agree. Out of the box, it doesn't get any worse that TS3. 100-100-100 on power/fh/bh coupled with 30 stamina having absolutely no effect?!?! Hell, the stacked 100's even rendered risk shots useless. Every moron, including this moron, could hit a bullet.

Regardless, just surprised that someone didn't learn their lesson. :?

The problem for me, is that the guys that use all that power never get their weaknesses revealed - in the hands of a good player the characters can end the point so quickly that the opponent never has a legitimate chance of exposing the bad speed/volley/whatever skills. Obviously against bad players you can still beat them, but if somebody knows what they are doing, the game just turns into guessing which way the guy will hit each point. This should happen occasionally in a tennis game, but it shouldnt be every single point.

I see the same, you know we both have play some very good WT Matches in the last times and i play with Power 79 and i have not the feeling Power 79 is too much for the WT or the most Opponents from me...but for a Sim Tour is Power 79 sure too much.
When i play now a GOOD +85 Power player,i feel by every good stroke too much Power.

I have the feeling Power 85 or 79 is a "great" difference(yes ONLY 6 Points) and when i compare a 85 Power player with a 100 Power player i see not the great difference but this 15 Points more.

The Profis Setup from Federer,Nadal and the another great Guys is for the best tennis Players off the World a very modest Setup.
I sure the producer 2K has oneself thereby thought and the Game is make for similar Setup and not for excessive Setups...

I agree. TS3 was horrible, this feels a little closer to what it should be, but not quite right.

If I had the Choice to recreate a Pro exactly with all Attributes and Skills I would definetely choose Davydenko. Davaydenko has everything I need for a decent Game and is well balanced. He has not the Upper Attributes and Skills but he's very good to play in my Opinion. My created Character already feels different in Movement.

So maybe height and weight effects your Movement even if the Game says it doesn't?

I always play with Davydenko in the 2K Open.

A free Skillchoose would be great for custom Characters and also three and not only two per Player like some Pros have.

Davydenko is the perfect baseliner, he just lacks that something 'extra' like a huge serve or huge forehand. He is the cleanest striker of a tennis ball you're ever likely to see, though.

IRL not TS4 :D

Davydenko in TS4:

Forehand: 73
Backhand: 78
Service: 72
Volley: 39
Power: 73
Stamina: 91
Speed: 66
Reflexes: 63

Skills: Diesel hard hitter, Fatality, Diesel Server

He has decent Attributes and the Skills support everything I need for a decent Service and the Baselineshots.

Fatality is a very useful skill to have. You really can be effective when going for the open court and finishing of points.

I don't have the game or even an Xbox right now so I'm just curious, what does Fatality do?

Improves accuracy for open court shots. It`s a great traits, especially in career-mode.
