Hey guys, I get the game tommorow and I want to play someone good to see where I rank against other players in the ITST community. Also, what's an Exo-Match?

An exhibition, a friendly match, that's all

Played a series of exhibitions with Norberto.

First match he beat me Nadal vs. Sampras 6-4 breaking my serve in the last game.

Second match he beat me Nadal vs. Agassi 7-6(5). It was a pretty exciting match. I really enjoy hitting flat control shots with Agassi, it has such a perfect feel.

Third match I beat him Sampras vs. Agassi 6-4. I broke him right away to start the match and went up 2-0. He broke me back at 2-1 to tie it up and it went on serve until I broke him again at 3-3.

Sampras is a lot of fun to use. You have to be patient on the backhand slicing the ball back and then be ultra agressive with him when you have the opportunity. The only problem I have with him is his energy goes down a lot by the end of the match if you serve and volley to where the bar is almost nothing. It's a bit disconcerting to see that and know you can't have point longer than 5 shots or you'll be toast.

I really love playing pros over customs, they are just so balanced and feel so great. It's true Nadal does seem to be a little stronger than the rest. He doesn't really seem to have an exploitable weakness is the problem.

Sounds like you have to use him the way he usually played - basically just give away return games until you get some kind of opening, don't get in long rallies, and never lose your serve.

Rob, I love you. I created karlovic today and couldn't go online cause the server was down. Luckily my brother wanted to play. I'm in love with serve and volley. It's so effective. What you described is S&V 101:
Stamina goes quickly, and you're pretty slow.
Give away return game cause you can't rally if your life depended on it.
It's hella hard to break, but all you need is 1 opening, break serve (lol I know right) or during tie break, and the set is pretty much yours .
Never ever lose your serve.

What I love about this is that if your character doesn't have good fh/bh/rf then s&v is going to be a nightmare. My bro used borg, and jankovic in the beginning. Lol, those matches were ace and put-away volley galore. He called me a cheater , jokingly ofcourse. Next up he used Zvonereva. She has like 70 somethings in both bh/fh and a 71 in reflex. WOW, what a difference that made. Add that to the fact that she has fatality and something else. She could return much better than borg/jankovic, but even still she had trouble. It was also hard to volley though cause her return was really hard to deal with. Every rally was a free point for her. We came down to tie breaker and i lost a point, DAT return. I went all out on his serve and won it back. Couple seconds later it was 9-8 my lead. Took another huge risk during a rally and ended up wining. So much fun.

Even if your character is a good returner, it's still gonna be hard, but my oh my when I go online and face all those customs in world tour with 51-61 in reflex ...... The thing is even if they return the ball, sometimes they stagger cause of the action on the ball, giving you an easy volley. This happened a lot more with jankovic/borg than zvonereva cause her return was better. Jankovic/borg couldn't even move at times. They just stood there frozen.

I love created styles that frustrate people. First def baseliner, now karlovic. This game is so fun.

I HATE YOU DJARVIK, telling me I can only join 1 club when I love 3 styles

The problem was, I was basically going for broke on the return games (even though I broke him twice in the Agassi match). The stamina would move down during the service games...

Ahh. I bet that'll change as you play the game more, and get used to the controls. I found it more of a problem in the beginning of TS3 - later on I learned to play more "efficiently".

Wow, anil and I just had an epic match. My oh my that was intense. Best match I've ever played so far.
On realism and slices anil, then again you could hit some shots that were too good as well and would not be possible in real life. My slices are good because I have slice invasion. Rallies were long because I built my guy to make my opponent sweat blood just to win a point.
Even with my slice invasion, I've still had baseliners power right through me. I ran into the #1 guy. Barely lost, lag filled game, but even with my slices he was still hitting like a truck.
The only reason why my slices seemed so good is because my guy's defense is so good, that I can slice, chace down the next ball, slice, chase down the next ball, slice, slice, chase.....No other custom can do what I did, unless they have my stats. I use karlovic, and my all rounder, and the slice game I do with my counter puncher does not work with them at all, because they don't have his stats (speed/stamina) and skills. If we traded places you would see that slices aren't that good. Infact if slices weren't how they are now, def baseline would not work. Power is still really strong in this.

I hope I didn't come off as arrogant or anything, as I didn't mean too, but rather just stating what I think.

Anyway your guys bh was amazing. Once that ball went to that wing I knew it would be a great shot. He was also faster than most baseliners I face. Lol, I usually try to exploit their stamina/speed but it was hard with you.

Also Djarvik, imo, custom defensive baseliners don't seem OP at all for right now. I've had many guys power through me. The thing with custom def baseliners is you can't keep up with other powerful baseliners at all. You're going to be doing a lot of running and defending. Even still if your opponent has the right stats they can power through you, or just outright outplay you. Anil's custom wasn't even that powerful, compared to some of the other guys I've played, and he controlled me just like every body else. Ofcourse we thought they would be godlike cause of nadal from the demo, but nadal is a beast so it makes sense.
Only time will tell how balanced the game really is.

Lol @ Coolhand Texas and JJ_DUBZ_47

Ever since I created Karlovic I look up to Rob now. He's practically my S&V hero :) .
