Postby Moralspain » Mon, 14 Mar 2011 20:33

Im jealous as I am really considering buying a new one but the rrod thing is really discouraging me especially since it would be my fourth one. My PS3 is holding strong but I despise it. good luck

take it back to th store and trade it in for a PS3 haha. XBOX360's just don't have the lifespan of a PS3. Been through 3 XBoxes while my first 2 PS3's are still running. Not buying XBox again, just not a happy marriage for me.

Ive had my xbox horizontal for 3 years now. No problems. I only ever had 1 problem with an xbox and that was one of the first to come out. But this is my second and it has been running strong for a long time.

Hope it can withstand the stress of TS4!

Just make sure it is not closed up and it has a good air flow around it. Don't put it in one of these TV units, that is what kills it.

I've got a Xbox and a PS3.
Xbox is definetely the better choicei n terms of feeling.
I would suggest to put it horizontal.
Make sure that there is enough space so that it doesn't gt too hot.
In terms of RROd I can tell you that my really old old Xbox had one, but my contemporary Xbox is 2 years old and no problems.

Just confirming the others. I've had mine horizontal for 3 or 4 years now and no issues. Definitely agree having it in a location with good air flow is important.

Horizontal definitely.

And make sure that none of the airflow holes are covered up.

This might be late, but my economics teacher told me that Microsoft patched the RROD problem.
Ryan Harrison - Defensive Baseliner - 0/8/12
Kei Nishikori - Offensive Baseliner - 0/12/8
Robin Soderling - Strong Offensive Baseline - 0/16/4

Calling it now; Kei Nishikori = Top Ten in less than 3 years.
