The answer to your feeling towards Sampras lies here

Beltic,

When I was a young teen, I was like you. I did not care for Pete Sampras.

In fact, I liked Andre Agassi over him!!

Only after Sampras retired, I started to appreciate him more. I am deeply hurt to see that this happened to him.

This is absolutely crazy! :(

Fair enough man - I still prefer Agassi by a long way....insofar as I 'know' either of them ; )

None of which is to say I condone/applaud/celebrate his stuff being robbed.

Not quite sure why you'd be hurt yourself over this tho?

Yes. I don't know any of them personally. That is true.

I am hurt in a sense that this is very disrespectful to what he accomplished. Also, I feel it is best to hear good things about a player who really shaped men's tennis in the U.S.A. in the 90s and early 21st century (including Andre Agassi).

Now, we have to see that Sampras' memories have been some-what "taken away" from him. I hope they recover these items.

History like that is great to remember and keep archived. I will never forget the long 5-set battles with Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras. Just wow!
