Haha!I do think it's unfair (a bit)... 8)
But anyway it's not a big critic...I'm not a top gun so i know i'm not the most relevent guy to talk about this or that (about TS3)...And i really don't make a big deal of it! ;)
Cheers champ! :P

Puttu puttuu wrote:As sherlock pointed out . Hitting a lt B return like i do is not the easiest thing to do . I agree with the statement the harder it is to perform , the less cheezy it is I use this tactic against S V players because it disrupts their timing at the net . The thing is if i return simply by just pressing A or B i get punished straight away . Any guy would hit a clear winner from the net .

I do these returns to force S V players to stay back and fight from the baseline . A good S and volleyer should have a back up plan , you can't just rely on forcing yourself to the net on every single point . Against a good returner , the points will be short and dull .

Anyway i felt concerned as i think zizou told me i did these moon ball returns . He wasnt critical in any way , he didn't think they were unfair.
is dificult hit that shot? yes, is realistic? at all.

Is it difficult to hit that shot? No, is it realistic? Not at all.

Oh!You know i didn't understand you at first time!It was like if you were saying "yes! That shot is hard to do! and Yes! it is realistic!"
I 100% agree with you that we never see this in real life tennis (on returns) except by accident,or on a run (defense...)
But here it's only a game,so ,in all, i don't really mind...

Actually if you watch a pro tennis match from the court-level (i.e, not from up above angle like on TV), where you can see clearly the height of the ball, you'll see that 'moon-ball returns' are very, very common in the ATP....as are mishit returns with wicked, strange topspin.

I didn't want to "discuss" this...Just wanted to point it out...in a "light way"
And Jay i don't think that "moon balls" landing on the baseline (on returns) are that common...And i've seen alot of real tennis (in stadiums) ;)

As Jay said, there are a lot of pros who opt to just start a point on any terms instead of going balls out with a dangerous return every time. I don't know that they float anywhere near as long as in TS3, but the concept is the same. A well placed but safe shot to start the point. As a volleyer I had a hard time with this for a LONG time, but they're manageable if you can anticipate. That is, if you´re playing someone who uses this shot, you need to be ready to hit a quick volley, or hold the shot a bit longer.

However, I think I only took a max of 3 games of puttu in any set, so I may just be talking out of my ass... I remember more FAST shots landing on the baseline, but I wasn´t consistently coming to net immediately during those matches.

Ok guys! :)
I'll stop trying to argue about this!
I was not to create a clash about this or that!...
But know that i'll stay with my thoughts about those "moon-balls-landing-on-baseline-returns"!... ;)

Most players on ps3 return very, very well. I'm not a very good returner at all. You can win against me with constant out wide slice serves, i can't anticipate well enough or get a good enough return in to make much impression, whereas on my serves i dont serve as well. Gameplay wise i would rank myself top 15 maybe for rallying and constructing a point, but it rarely gets to that stage lol.

As long as it's not a lob which makes my character go crazy then I'm fine with it

Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

I can't hit a proper return, despite the 81 stat I have with Bishop. They always land near the middle of the court. The ones that are decent are just lucky.
I've tried to not pre-press, but that only makes it worse for me.

Serves my opponent

Postby Desperado » Fri, 10 Sep 2010 22:05

Dear administrators, please answer my question
Where can I return the serve of the opponent, only for the back line? I can not get into court on the serve of an opponent?
