So atari is selling a product that is basically a hacked version of the game... hmm. If I can play online with this then money back is the least I expect.

Seems I´ve fixed this now, but now the game keeps crashing with no reason what-so-ever...........

Any wise words?

How did you fix it? I installed the patch and then I got the wrong disc thing. I then decided to try without patch so I reinstalled and downloaded gamespy arcade... the computer crashed during install.. This reminds me of why I got the xbox!!!

Okay, it might have been an overstatement to sya that I fixed it, but I don´t have the problem any more.

The patch actually seems to be on the CD, if you have the version I have, and I haven´t had the problem since I used that patch.

Doesn´t help me much, as nothing else is working, but I hope it helps you.

What is the problem? I still havent been able to run gamespy arcade. Is that your problem also?

Mecir, how big is your .exe file?
If it is 4.03 (without the patch), you can't play with the patch. I had the same prob and had to buy another disc. Now it works :wink:

My exe file is 4.03 unpatched. Surely they are not selling a game incompatible with their patch right?
Okej maaax ska prova det... Tyvärr så var exe filen samma storlek på den nerladdade versionen. Ska skriva till atari.

I can´t even run the game as the standard-game. It keeps crashing to windows. I´ve got it nailed down to either some software-conflict on the PC, or a problem with my Video Card.

Is anyone else running the game with a Radeon 9600 card - I updated to the latest driver yesterday, but it didnt seem to help me.

I have a 9600 card. I dont seem to have a problem running the game itself.

hi there,

i've just gotten top spin and i tried to install the patch but it doesn'work.
i've got the copy wich says.."the best of atari" also i found out with the patch that i downloaded here that the exe file within the patch gives an error. is there maybe a special patch for the version that i got

hi,

well for the best of atari version there is a "special" patch. look on the first or second cd of top spin. there is a folder named "patch". this is the right patch for ur version. u must install it like the downloaded patch but this time it works....

hi,

i've just patched the game with the file that was on the best of atari version but whenever i try to start an online gameit keeps on kicking me out. nybody any suggestion what the problem could be??
