ISP Major Headache

I can't believe the biggest headache about moving into my own house is to get a bloody phone line connected!!!!!

Someone from BT was supposed to call between 1&6 Friday to connect my line. So I wait in all day and no one shows. So I call and get passed through to customer services in india who happily tell me it has been done. 5 calls later after repeating myself I'm told to "keep smiling" and an engineer will call the next day.

Needless to say he didn't so I spend another hour explaining again before being told as it was now weekend they would call back on Monday.

Again they don't so I call again by which time I have already spoken to half the population of Dehli and it was a good job English was not her first language when I was told the query had been resolved and closed WTF!!!!!

So another appointment is booked for Thursday which they subsequently ring and cancel on Tuesday as they now say it is a problem with the exchange.

Today I get home and guess what comes, my first bill!!!! So another call and I finally get someone a bit closer to home who tells me they can't understand what is going on-you and me both!

It's now looking like being another couple of weeks and even then who knows.

Anyway rant overbut unfortunately until I'm back up and running I can't play so please remove me from us open draws and I'll sign up if I get reconnected.

I'll keep you in my draws till Sunday, if nothing happens I can either take you out, or you can take a chance and maybe stay in the draw. If you seeded you will get a first round BYE that will buy you a few days....

After yet more bangin my head against a wall I have another appointment booked for Tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed they will finally get me back online. It's like being back in the dark ages!

dude when i couldnt get xbox live to work this indian dude kept telling....well what im going to have you do sir is reset your router and leave it off for 5 minutes....after the 2nd time of doing this i told him we have all ready done this twice what else can we do? he goes "well, sir what im going to have you do is reset your router and reboot after 5 minutes....lol i was like does this guy know how to say anything else in english :lol:

That's exactly what I'm talking about though- situations like that are kinda normal for those Indian call centers.
