Why nobody play Smash Court Tennis 3 ???

Postby SSkanner » Fri, 27 Aug 2010 08:54

For few days, me and a friend of mine, have started to play smash court tennis 3, and we found it really amazing.
There are also few, but really interested players around the world that don't have a site where meet and sharing ideas.

And i don't understand why u all don't play this game, or speack about it. It has a gameplay without risk shots, but where u can really specialize your player whit a lot of abilities.

I found a player that come in game with an AGASSI style player and he was very well done, very strong in the passing shots.

I would like to know your ideas about this game, thank you.
Maybe there are some problems we don't know...

PS: a fan of this game found traces about new smash court tennis 4. Maybe it will hit the market before the end of this year. (but i cannot confirm this)

Yes, SSkanner, I think game is good, but I think people play top spin 3 because in complex is relized more good, but attention when i say more good. I have spoken with other people that says me this game have some mistakes and prefer top spin 3, but in really game is more realistic of top spin 3.

Well, for one, I am not interested in tennis game without risk shots. If they will incorporate risk in the new edition, I will be sure to pick the game up. This is the only tennis game I don't won, as when I demoed it, there was absolutely nothing that could make me play this one for more then 15 min. Especially having TS3. T?here is absolutely nothing this game does better then TS3, so why would I play it?

I guess that is the consensus most who tried it came to. The game didn't sell well. I don't think they sold more then 150k copies ( I could be wrong).

BTW - ask your friend for some links to that new SCT4!!! I want to see it! :P

I did not know there was a smash court tennis game for the PS3.

But I did play smash on the ps2. And that game did have risk. Hitting the ball flat was the risk shot, just like in real life. You had less margin but more penetration with the flat ball vs topspin. TS3 takes it to a whole new level with added complexity, and I am not the biggest fan of the system.

I wish Mario tennis for n64 would be ported to the PS3! That game play was the best! You could hit flat, which was riskier but more effective, or with topspin or slice or lob or dropshot. But the major difference was you could change your mind mid-stroke and hit a different shot, no other tennis game allows for this. TS3 certainly doesn't.

Exactly, I still think Mario Tennis is one of the best games ever, tennis or not.

And cancelling your shot is sorely needed in tennis games these days, especially when you have to hold down 4 or more buttons for a certain shot... Not to mention volleying and having a lame lob drop on your head because you guessed a harder shot was coming.

Mario tennis was a great game. They should definitely bring it back, updated of course but not overboard.

SCT3... I play it sometimes on the XBOX but no one is hardly online. The rallies can get interesting (50+ strokes  )

That is my problem. I feel like I should be able to end the rally anytime I want....be it a winner or an error. It is just not right that I don't have that option and forced to "push" the ball for 50 shot.

...that is must be what Murray feel likes like
