Did you play/like the first one? I tried the demo, but didn't really see what the big deal was.

No man!I hadn't the xbox at this time...But i heard it was great, and quite hard (a few save points, cheated bosses,...) and slightly boring (always the same...) but there...With the 2, you have a "McGyver" aspect! :P ;)

EDIT : About the big deal : I guess it's a beat 'em all,a bit gore, the fun thing is that you can use anything you find to hammersmach zombies faces...In the 2 you can invent mass killing machines by mixing stuff you randomly find on the floor (A raquet + a wheel or something else)...and that...i like it already! :P
About the 1 we should ask Goa...He plays ALL the games!

DEAD RISING 2 . awesome game can´t wait.
about dead rising 1 its indeed a game with problems.
most annoying is that you must accept every phonecall to hear the complete message , during the action goes forward.
tzhats hardcore annoying coz in DR the action is everywhere at everytime !!
and second problem is what you guys said that you have very less posibilitys to save the game ! also you have only 2 safeplaces with only 2 free places for your file .
THATS REAL REAL BAD .

also a little problem is the time. to safe(rescue) all unguilty people before the zombies ,
so you have a big time problem!!
the rest of the game is incredible :

i play at moment kyle and lynch 2.

the game looks great- but its too early now for me to give infos about coz the copy arrived me this mornug and i played till now only 30 minutes.

alsoa game what i got next days is MAFIA 2 !!
this game have awesome critics .
part 2 is a open world game

BTW: RIDICOLOUS is that now 5 weeks no game got released and now 1000 games come at nearly the same time

I think that's how the first game was as well. The best part of the demo was being able to pick up random objects and beat/slice/crush zombies with them! That was cool! But I got the feeling that it was a very slow moving game based on all the books and shit they tried to get me to read/use.

Maybe if I were a bigger zombie movie fan I'd appreciate it more, but the only zombie movies I've seen that I enjoyed were comedies- shaun of the dead, zombieland, etc.
I put the etc there out of habit figuring there was something else I'd forgotten, but after a minute I really can't think of any other zombie movies I enjoyed... ever.

i finally finished gta iv, but i don't plan buying stories of liberty city, i prefer to wait for the next gta. liked the game a lot, the city the characters, the radios everything, th eonly thing i would like is some of san andreas features like tunning the cars and going to the gym.

I played the Mafia 2 demo yesterday, was a lot of fun. Basically a more 'stylish' :? GTA set in 50's NYC. I'm really looking forward to it as well.

something about gta 4 i really never liked. i forced myself to complete it lol. i think it was the cover system/music/ lack of character customisation/repetitiveness of missions/lameish multiplayer that turned me off.

Really? Well then you probably won't like Mafia much more... Same basic dynamics, you can't customize the character himself (just clothes from what I understand), and the cover system is very similar.
If you're a big fan of 30's-50's Americana you might enjoy it more, but somehow I suspect that isn't the case :P .
And what about the multiplayer in GTA4 did you find lame? I didn't play the deathmatch modes very often, but the race/gta race/cops crooks/the co-op mode whose name I forget were all MINT.

I was a big fan of causing havoc in the race modes if I fell too far behind. Most people quit if they get way behind early- I would drive a bus backwards around the course instead.

Mafia II definitely looks to be promising, I remember playing the first Mafia and loving everything about it.

It was pretty challenging though, a must have, I would think, for any GTA fan. I think GTA IV really set the basis for the great games that came after it. The gameplay, particularly the combat system and the driving, were not as good as they could have been. But I loved everything else about the game.

When I see a game like Saints Row 2, who at the time was negatively advertising GTA IV and was thought to be the next big game, it really does make me appreciate just how good GTA is. Considering how difficult it must be to make these Sanbox type games.
Work me a boss.

speaking of sandbox games, anybody ever play 'The Godfather'?? Awesome game, kept me interested in the plot/missions until the very end. I usually don't like GTA clones at all because they all just seem like rip-offs (because...they are), and I haven't played part 2 so I can't comment, but part 1 was a lot of fun

i think after gta 3 which was revolutionary, and san andreas, and gta 4 having the ass hyped off of it i expected something completely mindblowing. its a good game but just way below what i was expecting. i downloaded the mafia demo and it seems fun but hardish controls, and i kept dying if i crashed at over 40mph..
