Postby AnnaSafina » Fri, 16 Jul 2010 04:39

Whats wrong people, why u dont like womens tennis, i have excitin matches in this circuit and it would be better if it was more competitive and right know like only 10 players on the women circuit are most of the time in tournaments. Please atleast try the tour and see if u like it. Please i dont want it to be canceled

well the movement for one thing is different, actually pretty different if you ask me, and returning is more of a factor in womens than in mens.

some people do not like these differences

well yea there are more breaks but is still excitin like u can be 5-2 down and u can get back in the match, in mens tennis that is almost impossible, mens tennis is serve hold serve hold over and over its excitin too but i prefer womens tennis. It is different but is NOT BORING. I just hope people try it

Sorry Anna, most of us at one time or another, have played the women's tour. The two best WS players don't even play at all anymore, Djarvik & Josenylund. Most of the top players have done well on WS, but we've all left because it's very one-dimensional & power oriented. You add stacked set-ups & it's pretty much.........boring.

Every match is the same: serve, risk return winner, risk return error, hold serve, no rallies, goto tiebreak. Whoever gets the first lucky risk return in steals the tiebreak. Whoever steals two tiebreaks first wins match.

It's not tennis and it's real boring. Just my thoughts. But until they change the rules, I (and many others) won't be back.

Are you serious? If you are talking about topspin ws here, it is completely serve dominated compared to the men. Most results are in tiebreak sets, even mine I admit.
Brgrflpr gave the best description of it. And because the women move so badly, most don't want to get into any sort of a rally and will just risk return all the time.
Sadly, extreme power and risk returning are the only way you can be competitive on the ws tour. At least there is a little more room for different styles on the ms 40-90 tour. I would happily see ws converted into sim

I have previously really advocated the WS tour but PS3 WS tour inparticular is falling apart because it has become so mind-numbingly boring.

I've played AnnaSafina and I can't remember many rallies to be honest, but that is true of nearly all WS matches it's just the way it is. The number of players who don't play it anymore tells it's own story.

in mens tennis true but its easier but you can move FLUIDLY and faster which results in a little bit more rallies and i hate wide serves as much as the next guy but we all do them at some point right  and you gotta except other peoples opinions urs isnt the only one :x

Serve dominated in WS ???? Excuse me but i see a lot of mens matche 7-6 6-7 7-6 a lot of times, women is not serve dominating at all, in men a lot of matches are tiebreaks
