How many slams will Nadal finally win?

What do you think?

And 1 very important question:

Will he reach the career Grand Slam and winning the US Open?

I guess he can win between 11 and 13, but not the career Grand Slam. The US Open have the fastest Grand Slam surface, nowadays faster as in Wimbledon because London was slowed down.
Ok, he reached 2 times the semi, but finally he was without a chance of winning against Murray or DelPo.

On Clay he s Nr. 1, on todays slow grass he s Nr. 2, same at the slow hard in Melbourne.
But on the fast hard he s not 1 or 2, not even 3, maybe 5 or 6.
Murray, Söderling, Berdych, Del Potro, Youzhny, Ferrer, they all can beat him in New York.

About the number of titles he can win...no idea,really.....but maybe 10 or 11, it depends on how many years he will be on the tour,in my opinion 2 more years, so 10-11 will be good numbers.
About if he will be able to win the US Open some day, the answer is yes, i have no doubt about it. If he wants he'll do it, same as Roger, he tried and tried and finally won the Roland Garros, when it seemed impossible or at least quite difficult to achieved that goal.
In one of his interviews said that winning the US Open is the most important thing for him now, and wants to get there at his 100%.
It will be hard but not impossible, i think he reached SF in 2008, he has won Masters Series on hard (Indian Wells, Canada..) so is more a question of getting in good form (and a bit of luck, of course) that the capacity of developing a good game on hard courts.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

He will eventually pick up a US Open, he is bound to give himself enough chances to go deep in the event and then anything can happen.

I could see him picking up another 4-5 French and 3-4 elsewhere pushing 13 I'd think if he stays fit which is still the main question mark.

An other 4-5 French? Are you kidding?
He could be very happy to win 3 more, but i guess he will take 7 RG titles overall at the end.
+ 1-2 Wimbledon
+ 0-1 AUS Open
+ 0-1 US Open

Before this happens, Sampras comes out of retirement and win Roland Garros.

Moralspain s explantation looks realistic, even if he s a great Rafa fan.
The reason is simple:

How long does Rafa play now for Grand Slam titles? Since 5 years. He was out for 2-3 months in 2009, but played any GS tournament except for Wimbledon that year.

Federer plays for GS titles since 2003, now 7 years, and as it is, he becomes weaker and will most definately not win much more as 1-2 until his career is over.
Rafa will reach this pöint at least in 2012, maybe earlier.

So if he really wants so win more then 16, he has to win:

US Open 2010 (9th, i guess he s gonna take Nr. 8 this Sunday)
AUS Open 2011 (10th)
French Open 2011 (11th)
Wimbledon 2011 (12th)
US Open 2011 (13th)
AUS Open 2012 (14th, equal to Sampras)
French Open 2012 (15th)
Wimbledon 2012 (16, equal to Federer)
US Open 2012 (17th)

Just take a look on this. Who think this is real?

He first have to win the US Open this year, because it s maybe his last and best chance.
And do you think Federer is really totally at the end and will not win 1-2 GS titles in the next 1-2 years, for go up to 18 or 19?
He s out of shape at the moment, but Rafa will also be out of shape in the next 6-12 months, don t know when exactly, but he will.

From 2013, i would bet Nadal neighter Federer will win a GS title.
