It looks like it could be just chocolate wrapped in aluminum foil.

I played in a club match yesterday, the way our local leagues work is like the davis cup, you pick 4-5 players from your club and play singles best of 3 matches and one doubles, with a 5 set final if the last rubber is live. I played in the first singles and the doubles and, i lost the singles 5-7 4-6 but won the doubles 6-2 6-1. What killed me was my 1st serve % in the singles, literally every serve catching the tape. I resorted to just rolling it in lol, and was then getiing passed for fun. But these were only my first few matches back after a longggg winter so it was fun, knees are killing now though :)

And congrats to xavi, you should apply for a wimby wildcard 8) 8) 8)

I don't think it would neccessarily be cost, more the fact you would need to have A.) a membership at the all england club and B.) have huge amounts of influence and connections there, and maybe you MIGHT get invited for a friendly doubles match. The hallowed centre court is played on by invitational members just before wimbledon starts to test the playing surface.

The outside courts, apart from court 2 and 3, are used by the usual members of the club up until may when they are reserved to let the grass recover for the tournament. I have no idea how you join though, the only way i know is by winning wimbledon, where you get honorary lifetime membership lol.

Of course if you're some kind of crazy billionaire you could offer to pay. Or write to Jim'l fix it :P

That's a good question....I think you have to be a member of the All-England Club or know somebody who is a member. I don't think you can just come in and pay hourly rates.

When I was around 12 years old my hockey team got to play at the Great Western Forum (where the Los Angeles Kings and Lakers used to play) against some other team in our league...it was AWESOME, even though we seriously lost 10-0 (they had a giant on their team that scored every single goal, he had to have been like 16-17 years old  ) We all just thought it was cool enough that we got to change in the same locker room as the Kings

Odd trophy that, a racquet missing half it's strings. Congrats on the runner-up finish though. :)

Speaking of odd trophies, what were these tournament organizers thinking...

Okay, no tennis trophy in the history of tennis trophies is worse than this beauty (won by Petra Kvitova on Sunday)...

My guess: some tournament official hired a carpenter to construct a trophy. The official then, apparently, mistook the discarded wood - the scrap - for the actual trophy.

Anyone else have a better explanation. :)

Finally i've got time to comment and post pictures of my new tennis trophy haha

Played the final last weekend, won 6-4 6-7 7-6, honestly the match wasn't good and neither my opponent nor i played at our best levels, many unforced errors from both, but i'm happy not just for the title, i'm happy because even playing the worst match in months i managed to stay focus during all the match (i only shocked a bit in the 2nd, i was leading 3-0 and he turned it back).
I quickly realized that that wasn't my day, so i decided to mix my game and end many of my plays at the net, i usually win my matches from the baseline and having 7-6 aces per match, with that it's usually enough, but the opponent was good, and i wasn't playing well, thank good he wasn't either, so i knew i had to be focus because i was going to have my chances, and that's what i do, honestly when you win a match in a final tie-break it's because you did well, of course, but also because you were a bit lucky, just 2-3 points made the difference that day, but yeah happy overall, because it's important winning when you're not at your best.

Surface was synthetic grass, which is great for me, as i said in other occasion my style fits better with fast courts than with slow ones.

Here you have 2 pictures i took with the iphone this morning, actually they organized like a players' party monday night to give the trophies, so they took pictures, but i don't know when they're gonna send us via email, if they finally they do btw.
PS: Not important, i also got a discount card to buy a racquet along the championship trophy
