I feel like it would be pretty hard to abuse that. I mean, sure a lot of people might pick high forehand and backhand, but then I think another person could opt for speed and counter that pretty well. I mean it's just an idea, obviously I understand what you mean about people abusing any system and ultimately adding more players is cool.

And like I said I really like fedfans idea about the year end world number 1 getting to make a new player given certain guidelines maybe.

I wanted to get back to you earlier, but didn't have time, so here it goes.

We have tried similar rules. They failed. Not because the game play was un-sim-like, but because of lack of verity. Let me try and pick your rules apart:

- 60 is not a weakness. It is in 40-90, but not in SIM. 60 in SIM is Solid, regular stat. So that means no one will have a weakness.

- 75 power. Its safe to say that 99.9% of player will max that stat.

- Max 1 stat with 90. What about other stats? ...is 89 OK?

Most setups will have a 75 power + 90 stat + 89 stat.

We going to be back to square one. 2-3 setups that work and being used. You gonna have to use one of them if you want to have a chance to win.

Right now, we have 18 absolutely unique setups. Yes, there are a some more "popular" then others (mainly because of the baseline direction of the tour, not the setups) but all are capable of winning and competing. Even if you just take the "popular" setups - we are already way ahead of the rules you suggested as far as verity goes.

So for now, the rules stay...we will use the roster.

...on that note, guys that suggested the addition of new players. Can you maybe try and identify with what style is missing from the roster? ....what can ADD variety to the tour? Thanks.

http://www.intertopspintour.net/forum/v ... sc&start=0

I have alway tought that we could take some of those character...

1.your old dudi sela
2.counterpuncher(your old ferrer)
3.a mix between bishop and roger(your old simon)

i think we don't have these kind of players in the roster

Or maybe even just add a few more guys as well with subtle changes here and there just to add more options, ya know? So you're not always against a bashmakov or nakamura.

How about a low power guy, with one good wing, a good serve and good speed? like say 51 power, 79 bh, 54 fh, 82 serve, 84 speed, 65 return, 72 volley, and 71 stamina.

That guy is too good ! His weaknesses are easy to handle IMO. I'd give him a try right away

its true about competing, like with burns i've took a set of nearly everyone in the top ten, and usually lose in 3 sets, so that is being cometitive. |I think however rather than burns not being able to win, i'm just not good enough with him to win, if you see what i mean

I disagree. If we were to add setups, they must be unique. Otherwise whats the point? ....playing against Bashma disguised as "Dashma"? :?

If we can't come up with a unique addition to the current tour, then I think we should not add players at all.

Any suggestions on a "unique" additions to the tour are more then welcomed guys.

Okay, reduce the speed and increase volley? That would make him a S&V character generally then :? or decrease speed and increase stamina?

Its hard, cause trying to give them obvious weaknesses will give them obvious strengths

But if you think about it, even with 54 fh and 51 power, that wing would be useless. Unless you could consistently risk, and even then you are unlikely to win the point outright. If i was playing against him, the forehand would be an obvious choice. First serve wouldnt too fast, just generally more precise, giving the returner a good chance to get a decent return to the forehand.
