Hahaha, the artist clearly doesn't think much of the US eh? All the others are triumphant/proud (gladiators, superheroes, bullfighters etc), and he puts the Americans in a bland greyscale tiny dinghy with #12 falling out of the boat, lol!

hahaha, no i think the artist is representing the off-loading in South Africa, you know.... to conquer it or whatever

BTW: The inscription says "e pluribus unum"..."out of many, one"

Since George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River was a surprise attack - maybe that's what the artist was trying to convey - that is, anything resembling an attack by the USA in South Africa would be one hell of a surprise.

Oh yeah, hadn't thought of the Deleware painting... That must be the reference the artist was going for, good catch. Even so, it's definitely the least inspiring of the lot.

The artist should have included a US player with a bucket in his hand - tossing water overboard.

no -nobody after michael ballack is injured.
all 23 players are healthy and onboard .
anyway 2 players got eliminated from team before WC is starting

i suppose its marcel jansen and christian träsch. or alternate maybe andreas beck.
thats only my supposing -nothing is fix

he had broken something at his leg. - i saw it right now in the newsflash !!
