and fognini wins---im glad...because i dont really like monfils much....doesnt seem like he has improved at all since rising in the rankings quite some time ago....fognini won 30 of his 40 net approaches

Also Ivanovic got bounced out 3&0, obviously Rome was a false dawn. :(

fognini played very aggressive.he showed big courage...it's not easy to restart a match in those conditions...instead monfils was afraid and played too much behind the baseline...
i hope he finally got the important win he needed to get awareness of his abilities...he is a talented player :!:

who was the last italian to win a slam? i cant seem to find one....neways onto another topic....murray says he wants to go deep into RG this year...he really needs to work on some type of kick 2nd serve....because his 2nd serve is absolutely horrendous--that is what separates the good from the reallly good 2nd serve abilities...IMO this is the only thing andy is missing
