Some big withdrawals there. Not massively surprising but still they could've played a part in the result.

Damn, hope the men's event doesn't suffer too much from the absences of Davydenko and Del Potro.

Out of the French qualifiers wildcards, Eysseric and Patience are the only ones I know who could do some damage. Eysseric still has time on his side and might have a breakthrough here.

what you have quoted there, GOA, are the wild cards for the qualies.
but yeah you're right, for the main draw it's still mainly only french players who get given the wild cards.
I believe though that's a type of normal occurrence, right?
At Wimby they would favour the british guys, US Open- the guys from the States, and so on, etc etc

btw, don't know if it's confirmed but it looks like Radek Stepanek is another to add to the withdrawals list.
