Not enough depth in thegoal, forwards or defence to be honest, manly the same old duffers who lost the last world cup. Best player is rooney by far.

England Defence = solid. Johnson the weak link?

Midfield = all fantastic individuals for their clubs. Walcott, only really had one excellent game for England, many just mediocre. Gerrard plays well against weak teams, I don't remember seeing inspiring performance against top teams from him (for England). Lampard, useless for England. J Cole, not sure if he's the same player as he was. Lennon should be in the starting lineup for me.

Rooney and Crouch up front is a great combination. Not enough depth if one of them was to get injured or not play well.

There is just no commanding figure, like Beckham used to be, Scholes, Shearer, Gascoigne etc.. (Apart from Rooney)

Did Maradona include Messi by mistake? I thought Senor Hand-of-God was doing his utmost to make Argentinia lose before the knockout stages in the WC. Hell, he even managed to almost fail in the qualifiers. Cambiasso takes Internazionale to the Champions' League final and to the Serie A title (probably) and gets left out?? Gago is a first team player for one of the best club teams of all time and isn't in the top 30 picks??

I'm not surprised that Nasri is out, though, none of his French team mates like him.

And about England, if Capello isn't brave and doesn't drop Gerrard if he continues to play badly, England will not go far.

for my Italy.. i think the strong defense that characterized "la azzurra" won't be in this World Cup.. but their group is pretty easy if u ask me..

maybe france.. this way sudafrica gets a hand

maybe elargento is comparing the vuvuzela to the blow horns sometimes used in football matches in Brazil or Mexico? That's the only thing I can think of.
I repeat though, the south african version is very noticeable for it's own original (and very annoying ) sound.

isn't the same thing. the sound i know of is really loud/annpying. and i have seen it plenty of times in argentina.

i thought the same, anyways he probably wouldn't have used zanetti because he wants to play with 4 central backs in the defense so he wouldnt be able to play...

another one which hasn't been mentioned a lot which should've gone much more than cambiasso and zanetti, is gago...hes been playing a lot in real madrid, unlike bolatti (not even mention mercier which i think is not up for the circumstances)..and he once played really well along with mascherano, and has experience.....

This thread seems to have more posts discussing vuvuzela's, rather than of actual football.

Look Elargento, what I'm talking about is of a plastic trumpet which makes a distinctive noise, comparable to an elephant blowing their trunk. The South African Football Association, has helped manufacture the coloured plastic trumpet, and this instrument is definately unique to South African football.
Not much more to explain here.


One last thing that you might find interesting and gives some reason as to the existence of the vuvuzela,

yeah maybe 2002 -
that time 50 south african fans bring it to south korea -
but there is a completly difference when 50 people make this sound or 30 000 -40 000

and yes you hear this in argentina -its from this 2 south african fans where emigrate to argentina
at end they got lynching in 2008 from fans from river plate buenos aires !!
