Yeah, we did the postal thing about a week back - totally agree Coke - Brown might have apologised for being a technof*#kwit, but nothing else...and then the radio-apology with head-in-hands...then trying to bullsh*t Jeremy Paxman (I didn't understand....)

Yet here we are - it's probable now that Brown will still be in charge.....jaysis.....clusterf*#k central....lol!!

Well looking like when we needed a swift conclusion to this election it now looks like political back scratching is going to run and run and divert from the real issues going on.

I'm not a Tory supporter but it leaves a sour taste that people like Peter Mandelson are trying to lock the door of No.10. This situation is only going to further damage the image of politics in the UK.

Also what about all the people turned away from voting? I wonder if it should be mandatory to vote?

You guys think the Tories and Lib Dems will form a coalition??

If they do my opinion of the Lib Dems would go down hugely, as iit shows they are willing to scarifice beliefs to be in government

Clegg's pretty much said as much......'The party with the best mandate will be supported...in the interests of the country'

Hmmmmmm......I'm kinda already regretting voting Lib Dem....what was the point? I could have ensured Labour (minus Brown hopefully) were at least safe : (

What have we done......

I think Brown should step down and become chancellor of the eschequer as a deal to get the Lib Dems join Labour

aye...nice thought...get the feeling Brown will be out, and really out....

i DO find it to be particularly crap with our style of 'democracy'.....the wonderfully named 'first past the post', that although approx 23% of the vote went to the Lib Dems (nearly a quarter of the voting population, right?)....they only get just under 8% of the seats in parliament - the bloody conservatives got about 36% of the votes (13% more than the Lib Dems) yet they have about 46% of the seats in parliament........yeurrrrrrghhhhhh......so one in three people voted conservative, but one in every two MP's at parliament is now conservative????????!?!?!?????....it's like some crazy buy-one-get-one-free bag of nonsense......

makes me feel naive and stupid for getting involved and giving a toss...maybe i'll learn of these days....

It is surprising that the Tories didnt sew this up considering the Lib Dems lost seats. Brown waited a long time to be handed the PM job and so he isn't willing to hand it over easily but I think it makes him look very bad indeed. I would think whatever the outcome which looks like being a Tory minority government, we'll see another election within 12 months, minus Gordon Brown.

Ive been reading that the system being used might change so the percentage of votes matches the percentage of seats you get in parliament.

This raises a question with me. Wouldnt that mean that a single party government is pretty much out of the question from now on? Unless there is a landslide victory of course.

What are the chances that the two of the 3 major parties of this moment could create a coalition that lasts until the end of their term?

Well Cameron is in the door of No.10. Should be interesting too see what happens next!

Also thought I would post the following from the UK's least impartial news channel imo Sky News where their political commentator nearly lamped a Labour spin doctor.

Considering I've never ever know anyone who has taken part in one of these polls, I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

Everyone's all smiles now but I doubt it will be long before the knives come out. Clegg already looks like his head is growing by the second, I mean Deputy PM on the back of less than 60 seats, he must be happy with himself.
