So does anyone know how to stop dropshots? Because when I got them it was random when I would win the point. Oh also this is the first match in which defeat is actually really annoying and felt I should've won. Oh and delete him off friend list sorry jwes but never want to play you ever againOh well I thought I was going to win my first match today because I was playing really well against randoms coming through some really close excellent matches with insane shots. Wasn't expecting to come up against a drop shot machine. Although I think better players will be able to destroy this tactic by attacking the serve more consistently because it was pretty much in same spot all the time and not killer fast but risk return from serves doesn't work all the time for me and my deep softer and hardish crosscourt returns didn't result in points.

u have to pay a lot of attention.stay on the baseline.everytime u go behind the line on rallies,u know he will hit DS.then it's important to hit good volley.
btw which players did u use?

1st set: It started off close we had quite a few cross court topspin battles which when on his forehand side usually got on top. But when I got onto my backhand I could dictate. He through the occasional dropshot on serve to put me off and I'm assuming to tire my player kinda worked.
2 set: It was a tight set in the way that I couldn't get much on his serve because he used dropshot almost everypoint. Which made it hard to do anything because I'm not used to people using drop shot all the time. Tried deep L2 topspin shot but dropshot still worked and when I got it and approached net I would sometimes get R2 sliced. R2 shots worked but it wasn't as consistent enough to break.I loved by 40 hold using just dropshots thinking oh maybe that will show him not really lol. I tserhink he got me to 0-40 at one stage on ve managed to survive and take it to tiebreak. Tie break he did 3 dropshots and won it by quite a bit and used his forehand to move me about.
3rd set: Asking him whether he has to dropshot every point probably didn't help he did it more because he probably knew it was pissing me right off and he started to do it on my serve which started to get him into my serve. Also on his serve the few times he didn't dropshot were still hard to win because I was always trying to get the dropshot which I could win a few points on but it wasn't anything reliable. I had a few chances to break but couldn't get it. He eventually broke me (I think with a dropshot lol). The last service game was pretty tense and I saved 4 match points before been beaten by a dropshot lol.

If a guy is playing 10 feet behind the baseline, he deserves to be punished.
But if you do drop-shots when you in trouble? ....that's just stupid and takes away the fun. I mean who wants to play a tennis match were you just drop each other to death?![]()
People will do anything for a Win. Including killing the fun. Sad really.

The best way to let a rabbit dropshotter stop (yeS, a 80% DP-replyer is a rabbit) is to reply with drop shots. Everytime I play this kind of players and I begin doing 5 dropshots-in row they stop immediately doing drop-shots every shot.
mmm, i'm wonder why.
Maybe this kind of behaviour could seem immature, and usually if it happens in an exho I simply quit the match, in ITST I quit and send a pm asking to replay being fair, the final solution is above.
IMHO ovviusly.

OK, here is what it is:
This is a game, not real Tennis. This is our "fun time" ...you know? ....we play to have fun, leisure. This is not a paid job as in real life tennis....all the Wins, Titles, Records will bring you only fun. No other Value.
But, should you win a Title by playing cheezy, you get the Title, but is it worth much without the respect? ...if not for respect, what else are we playing for here?
