Matthias it was completely LEGAL. He did not deviate from the base-path (the white chalk line), I'm pretty sure (95% sure) that there is no rule against jumping over the catcher. I remember trying to jump over the catcher a few times in Little League but it was nowhere near as spectacular as this...

There is no rule in jumping over the catcher as long as you stay in the basepath. I know a few guys who havetried that on my high school team, but it rarely works.

It has to be perfect timing or the catcher will just stand up and tag you.
