Murray's forehand is poor to say the least. Its true he looks clueless out there, doing daft serve-volleys and picking compeltely the wrong plays at the wrong time. His second serve is like dementieva's too. Cokes comment has some relavance, Hewitt always used to say although he was a defensive player, he had his best results on grass and faster hardcourts, as even though he hadn't much power the surface amplified his power and kept his groundstrokes low, and also amazing fitness, return and stamina lol, and hence today hewitt is still probably one of the top 5 grass court players out there, even though he's past his prime.

The big problem is that Murray said he was thinking clearly but he couldn't get the ball in and didn't know why.

Him not knowing is pretty bad.

You see players like Rafa who had to probably work hard can basically be injured for a long time but be on top pretty quick cause he knows technically what to do.

Murray and Federer are rather lazy cause they probably are "more talented" had to work less for it, and when they are off . They are big time off and don't know what to change. They didn't analyze their technical part as much.

But still Roger will go down on a bad day in a big fight .Andy goes down in a bad loss.

Beautiful loss for the Mutant. That was one of the crappiest performances by a pro I've ever seen. He looked like some guy you see playing at the park.

I've never seen somebody get away with such unbelievably crap groundstrokes for as long as Murray has. They look soooo forced and like he's just trying to muscle the ball, there is nothing loose or relaxed about them (like all the great strokers of the ball).

I agree with this.
Although those writing Murray off (is it only jokingly?)are way premature.
I mean a guy like Agassi had 0 of his eventual 8 GS titles when he turned 22.

is going through the same thing that Djokovic went through. When you lose an important match it weighs on you mentally, and right now his confidence is shot. Plus, clay is the last kind of surface he would want to play on because his speed, which is his greatest asset, is negated by the surface. Everyone has time to get to his dropshots, his down the line shots get slowed up, and blocking the serve back does not have the same effect on clay as it does on a faster surface. He hits flat, but with little power, which sets up his opponent.

I'm really starting to wonder if anyone in field can beat rafa. Tsonga is a big hitter and has general awesome but not sure if he could get to him on clay. Also djokovic could challenge him like he has done in past clay tournaments never quite got him though. Oh and verdasco if he can find his rythem and big hitting like he did against bird.

Oh and anyone see ferrer destroy lubicic or lubicic destroy lubicic rather haha.

Haha, yeah, nadal will be on court for around 50 mins today. I dotn see anyone beating him currently.

And ljubicic has done well to get back in the 2nd set

I didn't watch all of ferrer-lub match I saw first set first few games and I think that was enough haha.

Also I'm constantly saying c'mon you can't do that at rafa. Berrer is playing against a wall. A wall with hands carrying several tennis rackets. I mean I occasionally get lag and pic stays still and I see berrer stepping into court about to hit forehand into open court and next second I see a highlight of rafa doing some passing shot haha.
