yes risk slice is very easy, and u can´t see it in real tennis, but there are more things in TS3 that u can´t see in real tennis, like second services to 200 km/h on the line, or hit winners returns all the time, i don´t defend the risk slice, only say that is not the only thing unreal.

u know what I think about it...I told u on ps3...
I have 70 in speed but I complain about the risk slice only because I think they are not tennis and it's too easy to win a point using them...

Here you go, Joachim Johansson hitting a 214km/hr 2nd serve ace. Sampras used to do this all the time.

In TS3, hitting winners off returns, take skill, risk and anticipation. I don't have a problem with a risk slice while you are defending, or hitting and approach shot (or slice backhand rallies). That is like tennis and is counterable. Sometimes you may hit a short slice by mistake... again, that's fine by me.

BUT, hitting a short risk slice purposely after a serve, that is out and out cheesy play (especially time and time again, or big points). The people who are using this may not know it's cheesy, but I think the majority would agree.. it is.

as burns i hit a lot of risk slices. i have to to get the ball deep and approach. but i'd only hit a short one if i aimed wrong, which pretty much never happens. i'd rather hit a proper drop shot.

Maybe we should come up with some kind of simple Equation for cheese, something like
Cheese Level = [(Effectiveness)(Ease to Pull off) ÷ When Used] ÷ 100/1

Let's face it we pretty much all know who does and does not play cheesy. I don't even pay attention to some results because it is obvious what has gone on. I just play the matches I have to and only play exhibitions with players who I enjoy playing win/lose.

I will say though it hasn't been happening that much to me this year, maybe I'm just lucky, or more likely losing before I face these players.

Tough Question, Serve then short slice is definatly considered cheesy but not against the rules,
so yes you can ask him to stop but unfortunatly he doesnt have to stop

I also think people can get confused with risk slice and short slice and that to me is a bit of a worry , because u can still hit short slice without any use of the top buttons

Unfortuately it's most likely they will know it is considered cheesy to do it every point so asking them not too is unlikely to change it, I just play to the end anyway.

Saying that don't get too hung up on it, some people simply don't see it as cheesy and no amount of arguing will change it.

you can stop playing and ask him, but u will lose many points while u write the message, and he will say to u that he is not playing cheesy, and in fact, there is not a rule about risk slice. In my opinion there is a lot of confusion with this shot, and every one has his own opinion, some people think that short slice is cheesy, but don´t think that long risk slice is cheesy, for example, i think that is cheesy when u use it in every rallie a risk slice, when u use it for attack.
