Dropped Conections & Lag

Postby NEUTRONOStar » Mon, 05 Apr 2010 12:45

Hi All

Happy to be a member of the ITST as i have just joined so i have a few questions.

1. If anyone can help me alleviate my connection problems with Top Spin 3 especially when i am playing tournaments online oh that sux. I have done a google and it says maybe i have to get a better modem router and do some port forwarding to make a better internet connection.

Can i get some avice on this please what ports would i have to open ETC.

2. Also being a new member how is it that you play the ITST tournaments do you sacrifice one of your own tournaments to play in ITST or do you have your own set up which we log in to.

3. Also how do you find each other online at a location for a game.

i suggest you to read the rules since i´ve played you in the world tour and you are a cheese player. You serve from a forbidden position here in ITST and you return from inside the baseline.

I defeated you and you sent me a message saying i was a cheater¿?

see ya

What happens on WT stays on WT, there is no need to discuss how he is a cheeser on WT here

locati_agosti did the right thing. This guy is new to ITST and since locati_agosti had a bad experience, he simply suggested to read the rules. I think its OK. Maybe, it would be better via PM thou.

NEUTRONOStar, im not sure what you mean by your second question. Could you try to explain it in another way?

When you sign up for an ITST tournament you will have to wait until the draw is released. Once the draw is released (on sunday evening) you can see who your opponent is. Here is an example of a draw: http://www.intertopspintour.net/content ... y-2165.htm

Next up you contact your opponent through the forum messaging system and agree on a date and time to play the match.

You meet your opponent online by adding him to your friendslist. One of you create a room to play a non-ranked match and invite the other one in. When the match is over the winner reports the score and can arrange the next round with his new opponent.

As for your connection, you are from Australia so having a lag free match with anyone from Europe and beyond will be difficult. If you wish to have a better playing experience you can upgrade your internet connection. But due to the actual distance between continents it will always be laggy to play TS3 versus opponents from different continents.
