Who uses these characters?

There are some sim characters I have never seen anyone using, or maybe just once. Including myself, ironically. Burns, Bishop, Fussman, Lightman, Jansen, Johnson, Lorenz, Striker.
Why (not)? Who has given these characters a serious chance yet?

I went from Bashmakov to Cannon to Lopez to back to Cannon, to now try Jansen and Lightman. Trying to find a player where I can s&v with on a regular basis while also having a decent chance from the back of the court.

I was vey impressed with your Jansen. On XBox at least I am pretty settled with Lorenz, I really like the way he moves and "feels" on the courts. I've tried Gray and even though his speed is higher I don't seem to move aswell with him.

I suppose it is just whatever you get used to. I have never been one to swap and change and then play lots of practice.

Yes, I kinda agree rocketts, especially with regards to the above players.

I have pretty much seen all of the above at least once, but not alot. However, I have NEVER seen anyone use Fussman! I might just create him to give the guy a bit of air time Poor fella.

I have tried:

Cannon - my favourite player by a mile (current)
Burns - great serve and volley but would be nice to have the 90 on serve
Bashmakov - 90/90 then got bored
Striker - great serve and volley but poor wings, hard to make an impact in rallies
Gray - couldn't stand him

The 2 most favoured players at the moment seem to be Bucci and Nakamura by a mile

We have a good mix on the PS3 Tour. Personally, I have used and played against all the above.

The characters though, almost give the identity to their users (if that makes sense), as follows:

Lorenz = fedfan
Bishop = Otlichno
Fussman = marlondbrando
Lightman = me (and v_x_m)
Striker = Tombs
Burns = Villaj, darkpaladin
Sixx = Viera
Thompson = coke
House = alex
Cannon = kyuji, apathetically, pocho, ovhij, crotale
Nakamura = brgerflipr, maximo, djarvik
Gray = josenylund
Bashmakov = Andymachine
Bucci = Petrelli

Quite a good mix as you see, but Nakamura and Cannon seem to be more popular. Of course, the guys above do vary their players now and again, but some are unique and stick to their players exclusively.

I really liked the "no weaknesses" Lopez but I feel like I need to shorten the points on my own serve since the top players are simply better in rallies than I am. So I will go for Jansen now because of the good serve + super volleys. 68-63 on strokes and 77 on power has to be enough to do damage in the return games as well if the points don't get too long. The other high volley stat players have a clear weakness when it comes to playing from the back. Burns 51 groundstroke and 54 power, Striker 60 speed and 59 groundstroke, Lightman 52 groundstroke,...

i have used in exhibitions almost all the player, is funny play with sixx, fussman or johnson, but i think that they are not popular because they are 1 step down.

i use burns, i can just about cope with the 51 FH, my backhand i can hit some beautiful shots with. the power is tough and return, but i get BP chances.

The most depressing thing is i've taken sets and had so many super close matches with the best players but always fall at the last fence, so to speak. I think this is mainly to do with my return which gets worse through the match.

However im not super comfortable but i enjoy playing the way i play, not many people on ps3 tour play like me, darkpaladin is the closest. I also enjoy striker but the speed stat i find very difficult.

TheSPECIALIST09 uses Lightman a lot, and joesixtoe is reallllyyyy good with Bishop! I've used both Burns and Thompson both, but have definitely become much better with Thompson as I am just sort of crappy in serve and volley.

I'm gonna use Nakamura this season. I really like that setup, he moves well and has a great backhand.

I've found Bishop to be most effective for me. Used Bucci for a long time, but I feel far more comfortable having 2 solid wings and a formidable volley stat.
I liked Striker the most right at the start of this whole thing, his speed killed it for me though.

Problem I have with Bishop is I really struggle with my service games.. low serve and low power.
