Match Point

Directed by Woody Allen, starring Scarlett Johansson. What else does a movie need?

Woody Allen sucks. I can't remember ever enjoying a movie he was involved in.
Allen even screwed up the good thing Larry David had going with Curb by casting him as a Woody clone in... I forget the name of the movie but I tried watching 20 minutes of it in an airplane and realized it was just like all the others - crotchety old man inexplicably finds companionship/love with beautiful teenage girl.
Hilarity does NOT ensue, at least for me.

I kinda agree. Woody seems like just a nasty old perv to me, maybe you have to grow up in New York to find him funny or something...

I don't particularly care for him as an actor, but I like the movies he directs.

My recommendation of the week....

Image

Hitchcock's 1951 classic, 'Strangers on a Train'. Great movie and somewhat tennis-related with some nice 50's tennis footage :)
I'll just paste the brief plot summary from imdb.com...

'A psychotic socialite confronts a pro tennis star with a theory on how two complete strangers can get away with murder...a theory that he plans to implement'

Highly recommended, one of my favorite movies of all time this is what got me into Hitchcock movies....

BTW, you can watch this movie - in it's entirety - on YouTube, no less. It's in ten parts. Not great, but it's free. :)

If you have 100 minutes to kill, start here...
