djarvik is coming....

Postby djarvik » Sat, 30 Jan 2010 16:03

To DMT tour near you!

I suck, big time.....but that will change....I am good with tennis games with a bit practice.

A little birdy told me that this is not THE main tour for DMT, well, its all about to change.

ITST is THE place for DMT tour. So lets try and make that happened.

For all of you playing in Other tour, what lacks for you here? ....how can we make it better?

Hi Djarvik and good luck in playing DMT right now :D

For all of you playing in Other tour, what lacks for you here? ....how can we make it better?

if you want to take a look, here are links for main tour page and forum
http://dmt.sakura.ne.jp/tour/index.php
http://dmtworldtourforum.com/

I think that ITST has better organisation from technical point of view (friendly site, easy to see draws, rankings, next opponent, last results - its very nice), but main tour has one big advantage - was first and there is more players who are playing from beginning, especially those who are playing at top and very solid level right now, comparing to main tour we actually don't have such competition
maybe 10 solid/very solid players and later almost every other players are beginners, so its big difference in level of play, all draws are very predictible here, still same matches, without any suprises etc but we can't do nothing with it, its just lack of number of good players, old tour don't have such big problem, there are many very interesting players and suprising matches

personally I don't like here that we can see only results, in old tour we are posting results on forum in every tournament's topic, describing our matches, posting statistics etc etc, its interesting to read because again, there are more good players, so more unique draws and more suprising results... I don't think here would be so interesting to read 5x in month about final match Cedric vs Djokovic Fan for example :P
of course on ITST is better organisation, auto update draws, rankings etc etc but I think ITST don't have such athmosphere like old tour have
I don't know, maybe one of reason is because everybody from top 50 know quite well each other ? its becasue everybody are just talking on forum (desribing every match, stats etc), also much humour and sometimes fights... its reason that we know quite well each other and it makes difference, all this makes nice athmosphere for old tour and I think its main advantage over ITST...

ITST advantage over old tour is perfect organisation from technical point of view, easy to use and nice looking site, and maybe all these short news (about final match in tournament, or some other interesting things) :P

It will take time. The other tour took for many many years to grow to what it is now.

But the only advantage the other tour has .

It's there from the beginning. So the level was rather low ( that's why I was nr 4 once lol ) then it slowly became better and better. So of course there is a huge difference in the level.

ITST will become better slowly, but right now it didn't gradually grow. So there are only good players and beginners.
But those beginners will become good at a certain moment. But that's like in the other tour that will come in time.

Oh Don. If you want to discuss tournaments. Nobody told you you can't take the initiative of opening a thread everytime a tournament starts. Be my guest.

It would be awesome.

Yea. Our tour is new. So, like Anil said, it will take time for it to be 100% competitive.

Oh, when it does, I will be out of the top 100 for sure! LOL.

It might be good Q. You can play challengers.

Anyways Djarvik will get better soon. He just needs to learn how to serve and stuff.
