Management Information

Postby SlicerITST » Sun, 22 Nov 2009 23:40

I have some information for you all about the management structure. Effective immediately i am not going to be involved with the day to day running of the website anymore. Time constraints over a longer period and other interests in my life have affected my desire to spent time on managing ITST. It has come to a point that i think it is no longer in the best interest of ITST for me to be the general manager.

Ive talked to Rob and he has accepted the position as general manager. Im more then happy that he will follow in my footsteps. He has been helping me out for quite some time now and i dont know who i'd rather leave my position to.

Of course i will not disappear from ITST completely. I have devoted a lot of my time to this website in the 3 years i managed things here. I have met some wonderful people. Therefore i dont think ill ever be able to detach myself completely. Ill still post on the forum and help out Rob and Cro where ever they need it. Mainly though i will be working with our webmaster on an exciting new project in regards to ITST. We will release more information about that next year.

If i would have to thank everyone who ever helped me i'd still be writing tomorrow morning. I hope everyone knows that i always appreciated anyone that ever helped out. All the hosts, Rob, Cro of course but also the guys that took the time to promote ITST amongst the on line community and the ones that made the forum an enjoyable place. And many many more.

I would like to specially mention one person and that is Al. He gave me a chance to become manager a long time ago. I doubt i was completely up for the task in the beginning but ive learned a lot by looking at the decisions he made and how he acted as manager and as a person. I have learned a lot from him and i would like to thank him for that in this manner.

Slicer,

When Al Jam came back, I said that you were working on leaving the site. Rob said that this is not true, but I knew something was going on with you (where you will be "stepping down" a bit).

I hope you continue to stay around often. I like the fact that you mentioned ITST improving you as a manager. That is the goal of every social network site. I am very glad to see that ITST improves even managers. That hit me hard there. Hence, I am very much touched.

sadly i have not the visions what Q had ,so this message hit me extemporaneous .

the message makes me really sad
i allways had ,and have forward big respect for you and your fair way to handle situations.
you allways saw the points exactly and you never overreact with your decisions .
you always help everyone to handle situations and to fix problems very fast

i´m sure you had think very exactly about that decision to leave as manager

i will say thanks for your work here as manager and i wish you only the best for your future . glad to see you from time to time

i have 1 question is now only ROB manager and CRO assist manager -or is ROB manger and CRO on same level manager ??

BTW: can you take LOUI VAN GAAL WITH YOU ??

Djarvik is going to be promoted to assistant manager. I could put my next months salary on it.

Like you, I am very anxious to see what will be revealed next year. I was told that I will be happy to find out in September 2009. That is okay. I can wait.

It is not totally sad news; because, unlike other managers who step down, Slicer will be on the forum from time-to-time (he will check on us and also help run ITST's general functions).

Do not get me wrong Squilari; I know what you mean. :D
