He might win Aussie, i see him as evens there in future with djokovic and mutant murray, French Open Nadal and Djokovic have way bigger game, With Big serve he might develop a good grass game. At US Open i see him behind djokovic and mutant murray.

I think he will have a big letdown next year struggling to back up the US Open but will be a big threat thereafter. I hope a few more step it up next year at the Majors.

I bet you that Roddick was thinking about that, as I often do in my online tennis matches. LOL.

the thing is though, the 2 serves fed nailed to save the break points, nobody could have returned, so roddick can be proud he never blew the points. (although he did blow the tiebreak epically)

Thats true fed has not played well in finals this year. The only one i can think of in which he won outright, was Ciny. Oh and Roland Garros

Wimbledon he should have lost.

Thats weird, you would think the number 1 would play better in finals, any thoughts on why this is?

Honestly it probably has something to do with him finally breaking Sampras' Slam wins record. It's probably hard to remain motivated after chasing that around for a few years.

Roddick was almost to beat Federer, but he made a big mistake in the 2nd set, he had many opportunities to win the set.
and to lead 7/5 7/6.
I think if he were to win the set he could win in 4 sets. 7/5 7/6 6/7 6/3.

Yea. That and what I said before. Either way, he was sure in the dumps. So, when I saw the post with Djokovic not converting his break and set points. It reminded me of Roddick and Djokovic's match at the U.S. Open final.

Good point; and, this time, Djokovic converted enough to win.

You know what I meant. Roddick versus Federer at Wimbledon, Djokovic vs. Federer at the U.S. Open. Those experiences compared with Djokovic playing Federer at Basel.

I may have been a bit vague with the details. :D

A comparison was made with Djovokic vs. Federer (U.S. Open final) and Roddick vs. Federer (Wimbledon) in conjunction with the Djokovic vs. Federer Basel final.

yeah federer is a paper number 1, only winning the minors like Basel, while roddick and joko clean up the slams :P
