wozniacki won a great match with azarenza...mentally she is one of the best players in the tour.that's a great skill in wta because many women are fragile and lost matches already won(like today azarenka did).
wozniacki won a match like this also at us open against kuznetsova.
she is a fighter!

Venus had a great forehand and surprisingly a great backhand slice...
and she moved very well... too bad she lost

Venus looked amazing yesterday and it´s a billion miles away from this one

Wozniaki cramping on the floor against Zvonareva. She led 6-0 5-2 and had 2 mp and now it is deep in a third. She certainly is giving it her all and then some, she is in floods of tears but trying to get over the line.

That Wozniacki match was painful to watch. And I'm sorry, but her father was a disgrace at the end. His daughter was in floods of tears and in obvious pain, and he was smiling and clapping as if it was nothing. No note of concern anywhere on his face

Yes I have a feeling he would have been livid with her had she stopped, her Mother was in tears though.

Serena looking injured now but I think she will be pretty confident of progressing even if she loses and she has a day off tommorow so I think Elena will win in 2.

Looks like I was wrong, the injury seems to have focused Serena.

And what has happened to the Dementieva serve? I remember early this year I was quite impressed with it and it seemed to look a lot better but it is looking very ropey once again.

5 games on the trot, 6-2 to Williams.

Serena plays more fierce when she is injured! Do you remember the end-of-year championship when she played Sharapova. I was like, wow I did not think a ball could be hit that hard!! It was nice to see.

Let us see what happens.

Yea. The clothing does not bring out Venus. I agree. It looks like she is ready to go skateboarding though.

I don't think I hate anything worse at the present moment, than women's tennis...just felt like pooping on your parade, people

I was just flipping through channels and went to Tennis Channel for a few and saw some of the Woz/Zvonareva match....ZVONAREVA NEEDS TO RETIRE!!! I have never seen a more miserable person in professional sports....ever!!! It's super-obvious that she is never enjoying herself on the court, I mean does this girl have mental problems?? WHY THE F**K IS SHE ALWAYS CRYING.

I was watching the replay as well, and man that was pretty tough to watch wozniacki pull through like that.

and yea the dad didnt even look like he knew what was going on, i think he was happy that she won, and that way he got more money. He couldve at least look concerned

Jayl0ve,

I agree with you Zvonareva is a mental case!! If she can just control her mind, she would be a much better player.
