More powerful?...well i didn´t watch that macth.
Roddick has improved his baseline game a lot but maybe not enough to compete against that 200 km/h shots from the baseline.
Never underestimate the pain of a person, because in all honesty, everyone is struggling. Some people are just better at hiding it than others.

The last couple of matches have been extremely tight between these two and the result in those matches could have gone either way.
So I mean I think it's way too early to form an opinion that Del Potro is simply better than Roddick in whatever department.
Yeah the h2h reads 3-0 in favor of Delpo, but to me these two at the moment look quite equally matched.

DelPoto can hit bigger off the ground is a better shotmaker, but they have only played three times and there wasn't much in them.

That was true to an extent pre Stefanki stepping in the picture. Now, not so much.
The big fh of past times is back, not just that loopy kind of shot he got used to using, the bh is now more of a weapon, he returns serve better than before and he also looks a little more tactically aware now. Also toss in the fact that the guy is as fit as he has ever been, and you can definately say he's not as one dimensional as some people might think.
Example- he played Djokovic a couple days ago and basically beat him off the ground and not nearly as much with the serve as most people might have expected. Only 4 aces for A-Rod but a total of 21 winners, so the guy can play a bit as well.

he beats him because he was mentally superior in defining moments of the matches...he wasnt lucky, he served great at match point against, and then roddick partially choked, along with great delpo's play

I would have voted for the top three answers. However, I put that he is tactically better (power, speed, tactics, etc.).

It's just dumb luck, Del Potro is nobody special really, he shouldn't be dominating their H2H but he is

roddick has got to realise that his fh is not weak....and do beat del potro you have to run him make him keep coming up with shots....roddick tries to end the points too quickly which plays into delpos hands...and roddicks infamous kick serve does nothing to the big man.....but murray just destroyed delpo man...i mean he just ran him like a dog until there was nothing left

Thank you! Thank you! Let us put this up on a banner for Roddick to read when he gets up!

Yes. Roddick needs to play like he did in 2003 (forehand-wise). I do not know why he plays so defensive when he does not need to do so.
