At this point, based solely on numbers of hardware sales, Nintendo is killing the opposition. Over 50 million Wii units have shipped up to date, so the others are just playing catch-up. And this is not even taking into account the handheld market where the DS has been cleaning out for some time now.
For my taste, the Wii is a bit of a novelty. I mean it's great at first but after a while you realize that the AAA titles are so few and far between that you can get a much better experience with the other systems.
So to answer Q's question as to what we prefer, for me I would say the 360 would be my favourite. Outside of the PS3 exclusives, the 360 ports of games to the PS3 don't look as good and are often times quite buggy.
With regard to hardware, the 360's RRoD issues have(up to now at least) never been a factor for me and anyway recently many PS3's have been affected with YLoD, so hardware faults seem to be common for this console generation.
So most of the multi platform titles I play on the 360. I mainly bought the PS3 for it's Blu-Ray capabilities and it's exclusives like Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone 2, Socom, MGS4, the upcoming GT5 as well as GoW III.
Of the older systems, the Dreamcast was a great console. Many great games and some of the best sports titles that I sometimes still play even today.
