The Future of Blake

James Blake... first round Wimbledon loser.

He's been hanging around in the top 15 for years now despite not really winning any big titles. Where does he go from here?

I feel sorry for him but I think he will be doing what he is doing . He might stop soon though. He is clearly not enjoying himself.

I voted for the last option. I was sad to hear this but not shocked, because I never remember Blake doing extremely well at Wimbledon.

I give him the 10-20 rankings for the future though, as he has the guns to perform . . . just lack the mentality and needs not go for broke on EVERY shot.

The only one I think can do that well AND CONSISTANTLY is Fernando Gonzalez, with his go for broke attitude and win!! :)

I love watching Blake play and he is one of my favorite players to watch, but yesterday it looked like he did not want to be out on the court, maybe he was sick like he said.

After the game, he blamed the ATP for the horrible schedule and how difficult it is for him to play at his best while playing so many tournaments.

I beleive he will hang around the 20's and then retire in a couple of years

I have always thought of Blake as a bit of fringe player. 2006 he had a great year but he was already 27 by this time and I think he really outdid himself that year and has since levelled off again at around 15 in the world.

He seems like a nice guy but I think his best days are behind him.

He was unlucky with injuries but he didn't really break through that early anyway, partly because he was studying I think.

He was injured and could not play for over 9 months, thats a long time, for not playing, i think thats what really killed his career.

He went to college at Harvard, before going pro
